Dean
Thunder roared outside Deans apartment, the walls making it sound like a low rumble but it was still very prominently heard by the teacher who was sitting quietly on the couch in front of the only window in his apartment. Sighing, he looked up from the papers he was grading, setting them aside on the spot next to him and twisting around on the couch to look out of the large window behind him. His expression growing into one of distaste as he noticed the raindrops splattering onto the street in front of his apartment. It was already raining even after only one rumble of thunder. Sure the sky looked grey and gloomy pretty much the entire day but he didn't expect the rain so soon.
He watched as the individual raindrops fell from the sky, some even splashing up onto the window itself and rolling down slowly. It was almost mesmerizing, watching the rain fall getting harder and harder until it was full on pouring. The rain making everything wet in its path, the sidewalk in front of his house getting completely covered with water and making his car look glossy with water.
It wasn't until a figure made its way down the sidewalk that Dean was finally pulled from his daze. He tried his best to look through the now blurry window to see if he could recognize who it was that was walking in this weather.
The black skinny jeans and the purple converse were the only thing he needed to see to know who it was. "Son of a..." He mumbled quietly to himself before jumping off of the couch and sprinting out of the door, only having to descend down one small flight of stairs before he was able to open the main door.
Water immediately soaked his hair as a opened the door due to there being nothing above the door to shield him. "Cas!" He shouted after the boys receding back. The rain was loud and the thunder behind it wasn't helping. "Cas!" He tried again, this time louder than before. Still the boy continued to walk, his head hanging low. Dean cursed under his breath, looking down at his freshly washed clothing he just put on only a few hours prior.
Fuck it. He thought as he ran onto the sidewalk. His clothes already feeling like they were sticking to his body. "Cas!" He shouted again. This time Cas' head finally perked up as he looked around for the voice that called his name. Finally turning around, Cas' eyes widened as he was able to see his teacher through the blur of the rain. He took a few cautious steps towards him before Winchester snatched his wrist and drug him into his apartment building.
"Winchester! What the hell?!" The teen hissed as Dean finally got Cas into the dry apartment building. Cas' hair clung to his face uncomfortably as well as his clothing, his maroon hoodie sticking to his chest and back as well as his jeans feeling uncomfortably tighter than usual. Deans face held an expression of annoyance and slight anger at the teens reaction. Dean only raised an eyebrow at him, knowing Cas would have to explain himself before his teacher said anything.
Rolling his eyes, the teen only sighed exasperatedly. "I just needed to take a walk okay? My dad was being a dick and my mom was only adding to it by making me help her pack her stuff in the car." Cas looked anywhere but Dean. Keeping his eyes trained on the floor as they stood in silence the only sound in the room was the pattering of rain hitting the ceiling and the occasional rumble of thunder.
"Right well..." Dean started, "I'll get you into some new clothes and take you home if you want..." Cas looked up at him with slight fearfulness in his eyes that he would have to return home. Dean tried his best to ignore it, turning on his heel and leading the two up the stairs and into the last door down the hall.
Cas inwardly sighed in relief when the door closed. He wasn't sure why but he suddenly felt an overwhelming feeling of safety and comfort. He disregarded it, kneeling down and beginning to untie his shoes with more difficulty than normal now that they were soaked.
