As the line grew smaller, Yuuri's hopes of living did too.

The rollercoaster towered high above them, with way too many twists, turns, and loops.

As someone who had only ever ridden the teacups when he was a kid, it was terrifying.

And he wasn't even on it.

He watched with wide eyes as people began walking off, one girl pushing and shoving before nearly throwing herself into the nearest trash can.

Yuuri was sure the life had drained out of him at that point.

He swallowed nervously as the teenager at the front undid the rope that lead to the ride "Next up."

The small line proceeded onto the ride.

Victor got into the one in the middle which was pretty much right next to the girl working the rollerocatser.

Yuuri looked up at the her helplessly which made her laugh "It's not that bad, trust me, and if it gets too bad just hug your boyfriend there." She gestured to the silver haired boy next to him.

Victor laughed and looked over at his friend "You nervous?"

"N-no!"

The taller boy smiled and shook his head softly.

"Keep your arms and feet in the ride, yada yada yada, in sure you know the rest. Have fun." The girl said and walked off.

Yuuri tilted his head. Was it over? Was he okay? Was he going to live?

He got his answer as the carts jerked to life, making him squeak, and began to crawl forward slowly before picking up speed.

Then suddenly it shot forward and showed no sign of stopping.

Maybe not stopping, but it started to slow slightly as it got higher and higher, nearly the top of a giant drop- or at least to Yuuri's definition.

He bit lip hard enough to draw blood with a white knuckled grip on the safety bar as he braced himself for the fall, unable to remove his eyes from it.

But suddenly he could no longer see it, and instead his head was turned to stare into blue eyes with the owner's hand resting on his cheek "Don't focus on that, focus on me."

He tried, he really did, but couldn't help it as he looked in fear out of the corner of his eyes at the drop they were a mere seconds away from.

He saw Victor roll his eyes before his lips crashed onto Yuuri's.

And at that moment he wasn't sure which fall he was more afraid of. The fall of the cart as it shot down the monstrous drop or the one he felt his heart do as his lips moved against the latter's.
