The morning sun shined through the glass window that was across from the squeaky wooden bed where Dexter was sleeping on.

As Dexter breathed quietly in a deep sleep, he felt nudging and he felt himself turning to one side to the other. He groaned with irritation and he grumbly opened his eyes to a blurry eyesight and found a particular pair of violet eyes looking down at him.

" Raven?" he mumbled as he reached for his glasses which was clipped along to the collar of his shirt, put them on and saw a much clearer sight.

" Dex, wake up....we're going to look for the gem." Raven whispered and shook him for him to jump out of his mediocre sleeping spot.

" Don't you think it's too early?" Dexter whispered back.

" Of course not, it's ten o' clock." Raven shook him a bit harder.

" Fine." Dexter grumbled as she smiled. " You win."

" Why thank you." Raven smirked as Dexter rolled out of bed. Raven tossed him a granola bar which she had saved.

" What?" Dexter looked at the energy booster. " Aren't we going to have breakfast?"

" We don't have time." Raven chewed on her own bar. " We need to be quick."

They headed down the stairs and out into the front door where Dexter stopped Raven for a second at the rickety front porch.

" What about the others?" Dexter stopped Raven. " Aren't we going to wait for them?"

" Especially Hunter," Dexter added. "he knows his way around here better than anyone."

" There isn't much time," Raven replied. " we still need to get this gem and the last one. And we'll need as much help from the others in the Enchanted Forest, I can feel it."

" Alright." Dexter followed Raven into a trial that lead them to the community.

After a short amount of time they reached the community, they found campsites instead of sturdy houses and one vast house in the middle of everything. They stood looking over the whole thing on a hill that they just climbed.

" That's strange. " Dexter commented. " I thought that there were going to be various houses over at this site."

" They kinda look like houses if you look a bit closer." Raven squinted her eyes for a closer glance.

" We should be heading." Raven raced down the hill like a cheetah through the savannah plains with Dexter running after her.

When they reached the community's center, they caught some glaring with anger and some staring with curiosity of why they were here. Everyone stopped when they saw them and few whispered in each other's ear as others went inside their tents. They were all masked with a cloth around their lowers faces covering their mouths and nose.

Men gripped onto their weapons which was mostly an axe or a bow along with a handgrip of arrows. Women held onto their cloths around their face ready to use it as a whip. Children glared as they hid behind their parents or stepped right in front clutching their hands tightly together or even holding a small knife themselves.

" What's going on?" Raven asked looking at Dexter with a hunch of fear zapping through her bones. Dexter tried to look as clam as possible.
