" What?!" everyone exclaimed with a few mouths dropped open. "How?!"

" I don't know why the plague started but all I know is that the Evil Queen casted it." Hunter explained.

" Do you at least have an idea why?" Raven asked. " Why my mother...."

" Well she is the Evil Queen." Apple replied.

" I know why." Theodora spoke up then looked at Hunter. "It's about your father."

" Right." Hunter walked over to a seat that was a bit small for him and sat down but he didn't care. " But why if the curse was already enough?"

" Right, she's the Evil Queen." Hunter added. " No offense Raven."

" None taken." Raven replied. "Maybe we can ask your father."

Those words stung Hunter like an arrow that hit straight on a bullseye. His chest tightened hard as his palms started to sweat. Was it time to tell them?

Hunter ignored the question as something caught his sight. It glistened against the sun that shone upon it even though it was thrown in the shadows in a corner of the ancient living room.

Hunter walked to the corner and found a dusty brown-skinned covered book that was stained with dust as the thick and abandoned spider webs made it hard to remove it like glue from a fingernail. He picked up the book with little force and blew the scratchy dust away from his sight.

The book glistened thanks to the fresh layer of gluey polish on the skinned cover. It was hard covered and a symbol of somewhat looked like a geometric flower was plastered on the center.

Hunter opened to the very first page and found a very familiar handwriting written in what seemed like fresh ink which read: Diary of Lionel Huntsman.

" What's that?" Dexter asked as he walked closer to Hunter to get a closer look of the object in his hands

" What's that?" Dexter asked as he walked closer to Hunter to get a closer look of the object in his hands.

" My father's diary." tears started to form as he started to tremble when he read the first few words of the page. Perfectly written in ink.

" Hunter, are you alright?" Dexter asked in response of Hunter's own reaction of the book.

" Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." Hunter lied but everyone knew that he was telling a lie.

" Hunter, we're not dumb...we know that something happened at that bonfire...you need to tell us." Ramona stated.

Hunter took a deep breath and closed his eyes before he would tell everyone.

" This diary," Hunter said as he placed the book on a dusty couch. " is written by a dead man."

Silence whipped through the vast room as everyone stood in deep solemn or ruefulness. Now they realized what was bothering Hunter so much.
