Chapter 16: I Like Her

Author's Note: Be warned, this chapter gets quite dark.

'NATSUKI!' I hear a small yet manly voice scream. I feel the warm person behind me pull me closer and mutter 'Syo, you're so loud.' My eyes flutter open slightly to the sight of the angry, small boy in front of me but I close them again and snuggle against Natsuki. 'Fine, I know how to get you up!' Syo announces and leaves.

I fall asleep again for a few minutes before I'm awoken by the sound of not one but five gasps. 'Natsuki Shinomiya, let go of her.' I hear the growl of Ichinose's voice. I can feel that Natsuki is awake and he simply and innocently says to everyone 'She barely gets sleep, please just leave her have some peace.' I feel strong arms pick me up and I snuggle against their chest. 'In her own bed though.' I hear the rumble of Ren's voice in his chest.

He carries me to my room and gently places me on the bed, tucking me in. I know everyone else is there because I hear all of their voices whispering. 'How long has this been going on for?' Masato says. 'I'm not sure, but I think it was before she even came to Japan.' Ichinose replies. 'I never even noticed her eyes, they're so red and dark and baggy.' Syo says. 'None of us did.' I hear Masato say. 'She looks so beautiful and peaceful.' Otoya says. 'Definitely.' Ren says. 'Like a sleeping puppy, so cute.' I hear Natsuki say.

'You like her.' Ichinose says to Otoya. 'What?' Otoya says, I can practically feel him blushing. 'How couldn't you.' Ren's voice cuts in. 'You like her too?' Ichinose questions. 'Of course. And you do too, I can hear the jealousy in your voice.' Ren says, silencing Ichinose. 'I like her.' Natsuki says simply. 'You only like her because she's cute!' Syo protests. 'No, she has a heart of gold despite what she's gone through. That's why I like her. Awwww you like her too Syo!' Natsuki says. Ren suddenly says 'What about you two?' I know he's talking to Cecil and Masato. 'Our fates are intertwined, she is a goddess that walks the earth. Like, is too simple a term to describe what I feel for her.' Cecil says, as dramatic as always. 'Masato?' Ren questions. 'I have to admit... I feel the same way.' Masato says quietly.

That's when I decide to speak, I open my eyes and say 'H-how? How c-could you like... someone like me?' All of them practically jump at the sound of my voice. 'You're awake?' Otoya says. I sit up and say 'I've heard everything since Syo originally woke me and Natsuki up.' Ichinose comes to my side 'How do you feel?' He asks, seeming concerned. 'Okay, I haven't had a good sleep like that in forever.' I say with a smile in Natsuki's direction. 'Anyway,' I continue 'you avoided my question. How could you like someone like me?'

'We won't answer your question until you explain what happened to you back in (H/C).' Ichinose says stern, but gentle. 'Please don't laugh at me.' I say. 'We would never laugh at you beautiful.' Ren says. 'Okay. I was in love. And not the kissy, date for one month, only like each other for looks, love. It was real love. Staying up to early hours in the morning talking, reminding each other that we are beautiful, being there through everything. But he left. He didn't say anything and he just left. I was shattered.' I shakily say. 'That's not all though is it?' Ichinose says, gently grabbing my hand. I nod and continue 'I was abused by my parents. That's why I hate my family because they knew about it and did nothing. And what didn't help, is through all of this I had anxiety and depression. It worsened after my love left.'

They all just stand there, mystified. I grab the hem of my shirt and lift it to reveal the scars along my rib cage. 'That's why I said, how could you like someone like me? Someone as ugly and broken as me.' I say. 'I'm sorry I said that to you.' I say as a tear drips down my cheek. I get out of bed and head towards the bathroom but the seven of them stop me.

'(Y/N) you are beautiful.' Ren says. '(Y/N) you are a goddess.' Cecil says. '(Y/N) you are kind.' Masato says. '(Y/N) you light up the room.' Otoya says. '(Y/N) you are cute and sweet.' Natsuki says. '(Y/N) you make me, us feel like men.' Syo says. '(Y/N) you are our guiding star, you bring hope.' Ichinose says. 'Guys..' is all I say before the tears spill 'I'm sorry I'm not seven people, I'm sorry I can not end up with you all.' I say. They look at each other and Ren says 'May the best man win her heart.' 'We will accept who ever you choose (Y/N), as long as they make you happy and treat you right.' Ichinose says.

I'm happy that I only have one thing that day which is a meeting with Ren, Camus, Van and Haruka for the project. It gives me a lot of time to think. I love all the boys, but I cannot decide, not right now anyway. I need to work first, I need to finish the project, get past the triple SSS decisive concert and make my debut. Then I will let my heart decide.

I have a shower and change into black tights and a grey t-shirt. I brush my hair and tie it into a ponytail, apply some make up and then put on some grey Nikes and my bracelet before heading out the door.
