Chapter 43: Love Research

The Heavens boys take photos with me too. The cocky boys like Van, Yamato and Eiichi, grab me around the waist and pull me close while the others stand with me or hold my hand.

Once we're finished all the boys look up at me but Ringo easily dismisses them. 'Shoo.' She says, the boys go to complain but she says 'no excuses, leave (Y/N) alone to think.' The members of Heavens and Quartet Night bid me goodbye and leave but Starish stay behind. Ringo raises a questioning eyebrow at them so Ichinose explains 'We have to practice the song for (Y/N)'s debut.' 'Oh, fine then you can take her.' Ringo says, with a wink as someone grabs my hand and drags me from the room.

Once outside, I notice it is Ichinose who is tugging me to the studio. As gently as possible, I let go of his hand. He turns as he walks and I see the hurt in his eyes but he suddenly turns away. We reach the dance studio and Ren says 'So beautiful, you ready to dance?'

I spend hours learning the song with Starish and by the time we stop, the sun is setting. I gaze out the window as everyone stands around panting and drinking water. I look around at the boys and notice tiny yet beautiful things about them; the way the fading light catches Ren's hair, that perfect out of place hair on Natsuki's head, Cecil's green eyes which seem to be lost in another world, Syo's furrowed look of determination, the slight crinkles at the corners of Otoya's eyes, the cute little freckle on Masato's cheek and sharpness of Ichinose's jawline as he drinks. How will I decide?

The boys must notice my staring because each of them looks up at me. 'Oh (Y/N), we forget to tell you that we'll be going on a retreat this weekend before you're debut.' Otoya announces.
'Really? That's cool, where are we going?' I reply.
'An island that Shining Saotome owns.' Ichinose intercepts.
'Well I better get packing...' I say as I nervously walk to the door, I think I'll make it out in time before I suddenly hear a voice say 'I'll help you!' Syo appears at my side. 'Okay.' I mutter.

We go upstairs and into my room, I've barely closed the door when suddenly he's on me. His lips press against mine as his body pushes me against the closed door. His lips feel warm and soft so I manage to wrap my arms around his neck. This seems to encourage him as he pushes me even harder against the door and kisses me with more urgency. We pull away with a gasp.

'That was...' he begins.
'Errrrr I think I should actually pack now.' I stutter nervously as I untangle myself from him and head towards my wardrobe. He stands there stunned for a moment before he comes over to help me.

After packing, me and Syo go down to have dinner. The Starish boys greet us and we sit together eating from bento boxes in silence. Before everyone I'd finished eating I excuse myself and head up to my room. That night I toss and turn for hours as the boys faces flash through my head, by the time I fall asleep I'm as confused as ever.

I wake up to the feel of someone gently tapping my shoulder as they say '(Y/N)-chan, it's time to wake up.' I mumble and sleepily open my eyes to find Natsuki staring down at me. I close my eyes and mumble 'Just a few more minutes...' '(Y/N)-channn don't make me tickle you!' He playfully threatens. I just told over and stuff my face into the pillow as a response.

Suddenly I feel his hands tickling my waist and I start to squirm 'Natsuki stop.' I say through giggles. He jumps on top off me and continues to tickle 'C'mon.' He says. He finally gives up and I open my eyes to look at him. Only now do I realise how close we are, we both blush and he gets off of me. 'We're going to the boat dock after breakfast, but I think Ringo-sensei wanted to see you first!' He says as he heads out the door.

I grumble and get out of bed. I then fix my hair and put on one of my favourite casual outfits before heading off to search for Ringo. I end up finding her in the composing room. 'Good morning (Y/N)-chan!' She says happily as I saunter over to her. I sit across from her in one of the booths and she pushes a tray across the table with tea and breakfast.

I start to nibble as she begins 'Well I looked through all the photos...' she clicks away on her laptop 'and I think they didn't help at all.' She then turns the laptop towards me and I click through the photos. In all of them the boys gaze at me as if I'm the only thing in the room. 'Oh great.' I say sarcastically. 'It's okay. We have to leave for the retreat soon, maybe going away with the boys will help you decide?' She says positively. 'Maybe...' I say, 'anyway Ringo I'll grab my suit case and meet you outside soon.' I say and get up to go to my room.
