Max: I'm on the other bus
Avery: Wait why?
Max: The teacher said that I was "to close" to Harrison
Avery: I'm sorry... We'll see you in two hours!
Max: Don't go!
Avery: Text your girlfriend. She looks bored.

I looked up at the bus. It was long and there were about twenty rows each contains four seats with a small hallway down the middle. I saw everyone laughing with their friends. I looked at my beautiful friends. These friends who had always been there for me. My friends always made me laugh and had never left me behind. I loved these girls with every fiber of my being. Addison must of caught me staring because she posed and said, "God Damn Avery! I know I'm gorgeous but I have a boyfriend." They laughed and I remembered how annoying they could be. "Hardie Har Har. Real original," Addison fake pouted. "anyway... Max got on the wrong bus, that's why he's not sitting with us." I heard a sigh of relief from the direction of Harrison and we all laughed. Max was my best friend but he was also a fuck boy. He had dated almost everyone in our group and I knew that I was his next target. He was a nice person but he took it to fast. If he hadn't confessed his love and kissed the girl within the first he would be depressed about not being a "good boyfriend". Suddenly the bus was full of Ding! Ding! Everyone took out there phones and saw a text from our principal, Mr. Hemingsworth. The text contained information on our travel groups and our dorm mates. I looked under my name and saw that I didn't really have any of my group but then I saw a name that I was excited about: Ocean (Peters)! But then I saw Sarah's name. Sarah was a very pretty and kind girl but she didn't really like me so that meant that I would have literally nobody. My travel buds were Ocean, Sarah, Alec, Quinn, Kara, Eric, Melody, Jenny, Sadie, Isabella, and me. Sadie loved soccer, is very smart and generous. Quinn and Alec were close friends and both could be dicks but were nice to their friends. Kara, Melody, and Isabella were pretty and inseparable. They were very mean girlish together but on the rare occasions you caught them each alone they were some of the nicest people. Jenny was a bit of and outcast. She was labeled as fat, ugly, and gross so people would keep their distance. Jenny was really nice once you got to know her. Eric was shy and was friends with Quinn and Alec. Our group leader was named Sam. I then looked at my dorm mates. I was a little disappointed. In the group was Finley, Erica, Ocean (Michaels), Camille, and Calista. I wasn't close with any of them but i was excited about Ocean M. I looked up and saw my friends...happy? I don't think they know how friendship works, if I'm upset cause my group sucks no matter how much they like their group they have to be upset with me. Addison and Jackson were in the same group with Cathryn while Harrison and Max were in a group together. I groaned as I explained my groupings and they all laughed. I poured and stuck my earbuds in my ears and blasted music. After about one song I got bored and spoke to my friends again.

"Everyone start to clean up your areas! We will arrive in about ten minutes and you can't leave until your area is CLEAN!" I looked up to Mrs. S yelling at us. I looked outside and saw that it was raining. I put on a hoodie and started to pick up my stuff. "Hey buddy..." I turned to Addison "you know what would be great? If you would be cool enough to store my food with yours." I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"Fine." Suddenly everyone dumped their food in our bags. We had cleaned up our areas, to the best of our ability, and looked outside again. I saw the mountains and my heart smiled. The air was fresh and crisp while the sky was clear and blue. I felt free up here. I smiled and tore my eyes away from this piece of heaven that I would call home for the next two weeks. We then pulled up to the camp and I saw students unloading from the busses and grabbing their stuff out of the bottom storage compartment. Finally we were excused from the bus and stepped out onto the gravel path. I took a deep breath and my lungs felt healthy and strong. I picked up my bags and found that I couldn't carry everything at once. I made it about thirty feet slipping in the muddy gravel pathway when a boy named Zeke came and took one of my bags. "Thanks." I breathed as we made our way up the stairs. We reached the buildings and dove under the over hanging roofs. He put down my stuff and I made my way over to two plastic bins: one for our phones/electronics and one for our food. I watched as some of the girls (*cough cough* Addison and Harrison *cough cough*) be over dramatic about putting their phones in the bin. I went back to my gray duffel and set next to the other girls bags. We weren't allowed inside the girl's dorm yet so our stuff would have to stay outside in the rain protected only by a roof shooting out the side of the building. Arm in arm with Addison, Harrison, and Jackie we made our way to the commons area. Here we would eat breakfast and dinner. We would also have to clean after these meals so that the tables/floor was ready for the next gathering in the room. We all sat at the tables while the counselors introduced themselves and explained what we would be doing here over the next two weeks. Everyday we would have to wake up at 6:45 and be in the dining hall by 7:00. When we woke up we would have to pack our travel packs for our hikes and get dressed. Once at the dining hall your table would have to answer a question asked by the counselors correctly. We could only have seconds after everyone had been served. Once we were finished we would clear our plates and make our lunches which we would pack in our sacks and eat on our hike. We would leave the camp at 8:00 and drive to a certain trail and have fun on our hikes. At noonish we would find a place to stop and we would eat lunch. We'd be back at camp by 1:30 and we would have about two hours of free time before our night activities. Depending on the night (and group) you would go to the dining hall and perform group activities. These could be games or learning opportunities. Then we would have dinner at 6 pm. After dinner we would settle down for the night and hang out in our dorms. Lights out by 9:30.
