Homecoming!

ERMAHGERD HOMECOMING! (Let's just say it's in the second week of October)
Mari and I were getting ready with Mel and Kalel in their room since it was a bit bigger than ours. The boys were getting ready in their own rooms since there was 6 of them but only 4 of us. We all helped eachother get ready. I did their nails. Kalel did hair and Mel did makeup. Mari made sure everyone looked presentable overall. I stood in front of a floor length mirror, adjusting my emerald green dress and fidgeting nervously. Mari came up behind me and played with my hair which had been curled into loose ringlets,
"Nervous?" she asked. 
"Yeah"
"Me too" I said as I turned to face her. Her sapphire blue dress fit her perfectly. I looked over at Mel and Kalel. Melanie was putting a few finishing touches on Kalels makeup. Melanie was wearing a deep purple dress and Kalels was ruby red. They both looked gorgeous as well. Once they were finished we all gave eachother a quick once over.
"You all look beautiful, ladies" Melanie said. Kalel nodded in agreement. I was more nervous than ever was as I collected my purse and jacket and retrieved the boutonnière I had bought for Sohinki. The other girls had gotten ones for their dates as well. We all made our way to Anthony and Ian's room which was where we were all meeting since it was the biggest. Melanie knocked on the door once we were there and Anthony answered it. His shirt matched Kalels dress. We all entered the room and greeted Ian. He was wearing a lavender shirt that complemented Melanie's dress. We waited for the others to arrive. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. Anthony answered it again. It was Joven and his roommate Wes, who didn't have a date but was still coming in our group. Joven was wearing a light blue shirt and Wes's shirt was black. Mari hugged Joven as soon as he stepped in the room. I gulped. The only two people that weren't here yet were Sohinki and Lasercorn. Ian was about to call them when we heard a knock at the door. Ian answered it this time. Sohinki was wearing a dark green shirt to match my dress and Lasercorn was wearing a pink shirt. He was also going alone because he had a girlfriend back home, and would have felt bad going with someone else. Sohinkis face turned red when he saw me but he still returned my hug when I greeted him. The girls gave their dates their boutonnières. I stuck Sohinki a few times and eventually had to ask Kalel to help me. Sohinki gave me my corsage next. It had tiny white flowers and green vines that wrapped around the wristband. We took pictures next. First all the boys, then girls, then the couples, then individual photos. We weren't even at the dance yet and I was already having so much fun. My nerves had disappeared, thankfully. We decided to skip dinner and went straight to the dance. It was in one of the huge gymnasiums on campus. The dance was already in full swing when we got there, couples grinding on eachother and making out. Basically the same as a high school homecoming. We all made our way to the dance floor where we stayed for almost the entire evening. Near the end of the dance, the DJ made an announcement,
"Alright everyone! Last song of the night, grab that special someone cause we're slowing things down" he said as 'secrets' by OneRepublic started playing softly. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turn to face Sohinki. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck. We swayed back and fourth with the music. I thought nothing could make this night better. Sohinki quickly made me realize I was wrong. He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine in a deep kiss. It was over as quickly as it started as he pulled away to look down at me. Even in the dimness of the room I could see the faint blush that colored his cheeks. He wrapped his arms tighter around me so I was flush against his chest. I peered over his shoulder and tried to find the others. I saw Joven and Mari in a position almost mirroring ours. Ian and Mel and Anthony and Kalel were nowhere to be found, though. The song ended and Sohinki kissed me again, but it was only a small peck. We met up with the others and headed back to our dorm. The boys all went their separate ways, but not before giving us kisses goodbye first. Mari was giggling like a schoolgirl as we entered Melanie and Kalels room. We all changed into our pajamas and removed our makeup and situated ourselves on the beds. I was sitting next to Mel on her bed and Mari and Kalel were on Kalels bed. We spent the rest of the night aimlessly chatting away.

(A/N) I know this chapter has almost no dialogue, that's because I wanted to focus on details and setting the scene and shizz like that. I hoped you guys liked it! I'd like to have chapter 7 up later today but I probably won't ;A;.
