Lexi's P.O.V.
Ethan and I were sitting at our table in front of everyone, as people were in line to get food. We had a buffet-style dinner. It was around 5:30, so it was still light outside; I mean, it is August, so it would be light out. People were congratulating us as they went by.
"Megan!" I said, surprised to see that my elementary school best friend had made it.
"It's been so long!" She said, as I got up to hug her.
"Last time we hung out was a year ago! Ethan this is Megan, we've known each other since we were little." I said, introducing Megan to Ethan.
"Nice to meet you." He smiled.
"I'll find you two later." She smiled, walking off to get food.
"Tonight is going to be so much fun!" I said happily to Ethan. He laughed.
"Why are you always so cute." He kissed my cheek.
"Why are you always so sweet?" I asked him smiling. We got our dinner after everyone else had. The food was so good!
"Ready to cut the cake?" Ethan whispered, his hot breath on my ear.
"Yes!" I whispered back. We stood up and walked over to our cake. It was white, and had silver flowers and swirly patterns on it. There were plates and a knife waiting for us. The room got a bit quieter, and I picked up the knife. Ethan put his hands over mine, and together, we cut the first slice. People clapped and I dipped my finger into the frosting and turned to face Ethan. I smiled and smeared it on his face. He took some too and smeared it onto my face. I laughed.
"Thanks Dolan." I said.
"You too, Mrs. Dolan." He winked and kissed me. The room erupted into cheers. We got our cake, and then one of the caterers took over and cut the rest for everyone. We sat down at our table and Wyatt stood up. He clanked a knife on his glass. Everyone quieted down.
"I'd like to make a toast." Wyatt said.
I nodded, motioning him to continue.
"I've known Lexi since preschool. I know her really well, Sam does, Kale does. And I've gotten to know Ethan, maybe not in the way I envisioned-" He laughed, looking at Ethan. "-however, though I may not have known Ethan as long as I've Lexi, but I do know for a fact that there's no one better for her than Ethan. To Lexi and Ethan Dolan." He concluded. I clapped and got up, walking over to Wyatt. I hugged him tightly.
"Thank you Wyatt." I said. He sat back down. I went back to our table. Sammy walked into the middle of the room, holding a microphone. By now, everyone was seated and eating cake.
"Go best friend!" I said. People laughed.
"Love you Lexi." She said. "I want to start this off by letting Ethan know how lucky he is to have my best friend as his wife. I know she's always dreamt of this day since we were in middle school, but I don't think she saw it coming that she'd be marrying a famous Youtuber." A few people laughed. I looked at Ethan and he squeezed my hand, smiling.
"Secondly, Lexi, I'm so incredibly happy for you and Ethan. You two are perfect for each other. If any of you don't know how these two met, it was all because of two pieces of paper, called 'VIP Meet and Greet tickets'."
She smiled. Everyone laughed. I nodded.
"I could tell that there was a connection between them, as soon as they locked eyes." The guests 'awe'd.
"I don't want to be talking the whole night, but I just want to congratulate you guys, and I wish you the absolute best. I love you guys." She concluded, my eyes filling with tears. She walked over to us and we stood up to hug her.
The rest of the night, we danced and laughed and I can honestly say that it was the best night of my life.
~Two Weeks Later~
(*Lexi and Ethan are 21 years old, Emma is 1.5 years old*)
"I'll be over in 15 minutes to pick up Emma." My mom said over the phone.
"Okay, thanks mama. See you soon." I hung up. I walked downstairs, carrying my suitcase with me. I put it down by the front door. I walked into the living room to see Ethan laying on the couch, with Emma asleep on his chest. I smiled.
"Hey baby." He whispered.
"Hi." I kissed him.
"I already packed, my suitcase is upstairs." He said.
"I'll go get it, you can stay here with Emma. My mom will be here shortly so just try to keep her asleep til then." I said, running my fingers through his hair.
"Okay." He said smiling.
~20 Minutes Later~
"Alright, to the airport for our honeymoon..." Ethan said, pulling the car out of the driveway.
"I'm so excited! Can you believe we're actaully going to Fiji?" I said.
"No!" Ethan said, really excited.
I looked at the time on my phone. "Our flight is at 10:40, so we have 2 hours to get there and go through security."
"Oh we'll have plenty of time." He said, turning the radio on. It had to be a coincidence, but the song that came on was "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire.
(If you don't get it, look it up and you'll recognize it from one of their vines!)
"Oh my gosh..." I laughed, covering my face.
"BA DE YA, SAY DO YOU REMEMBER? BA DE YA, DANCING IN SEPTEMBER? BA DE YA, NEVER WAS A CLOUDY DAY." He sang loudly.
"Ethannnnnn!" I said, my mouth hurt from smiling.
"BA DE YA, DANCING IN SEPTEMBER-" He said, but I turned the radio off. He looked over at me.
"Are you trying to kill me?" I asked, between laughing. He was laughing too. I turned it back on and we sang along to all the songs until we arrived at the airport. He took my hand as we pulled our suitcases into the airport. We were going to Fiji for 2 weeks.
After we checked in our luggage and got through security, we were finally on the airplane! We walked between the small aisle until we found our seats, the last row in first class. I sat at the window seat and Ethan sat down. I turned to him. I was about to say something, but he started to say something first.
"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you Lexi." He smiled. "Don't worry about Emma, we're going to Fiji and we're gonna have a hell of a lot of fun."
"Thank you Ethan." I kissed him.
"I love you so much." He said.
"I love you more..." I said, looking out the window as the plane started to take off.
