Lexi's POV
I heard Ethan groan from Sam and Grayson's room, as I stood in the hall outside. Moments later he stepped out, surprised to see me waiting there.
"What the hell is your deal Ethan?" I asked, whisper-shouting.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"I'm talking about you. And alcohol." I said quietly, not wanting anyone to overhear.
"Lighten up, we're just going to have some fun." He said, beginning to walk down the hallway, causing me to hit the breaking point.
"Ethan Dolan, in what world would you chose drinking over family and friends? Can't you see that Grayson wants to stay and take care of his children and be there Sam?! Sure, Cameron's boyfriend proposed but you can't keep bugging someone to do something they clearly don't want to do. Is alcohol more important than your wife Ethan?" I asked, tears threatening to spill from my eyes. Ethan looked at me, sighing.
"Lexi, you know that-" He started to say before I walked into his arms, as he wrapped them tightly around me.
"-you're the most important thing in my life." He finished.
"Let's just go home." I said, walking away from him as he let me go. I turned back into Sam's room, knocking before I heard her say 'come in'.
"Hey..." She said, seeing that it was me.
"Hi... Ethan and I are gonna head home." I said, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Okay... thanks for coming." She half-smiled, her cheeks still wet from crying.
"Thanks for having us, and you know that you and Gray are welcome over anytime." I smiled.
"I'll text you later, or call you." She said, rocking Koby in her arms.
"Okay." I nodded, standing up and leaving the room, quietly closing the door behind me. I half expected Ethan to be waiting for me in the hall, but I was the only one standing there. I walked down the stairs to find him helping Emma with putting her shoes on, before going into the kitchen to find Cameron.
"Hey. You okay?" She asked when I walked over to her.
"Yeah... Ethan and I are gonna head home." I said, forcing a smile. "Congrats." I hugged her, as she held onto me a little longer to whisper something in my ear ever so faintly,
"If things aren't going okay, I'm here."
"Thanks." I said, knowing exactly what she meant. I hugged Lisa and Sean goodbye and put my shoes on before meeting Ethan and Emma at the door.
"Where's auntie?" Emma pouted, as I picked her up and Ethan opened the door.
"She's busy right now sweetie..." I said, as the three of us went out to the car. I put Emma in her car seat and then got in the passenger's seat. Ethan started the car and backed out of the driveway.
"One week." I said, breaking the half hour in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence however.
"Do we have everything for the party?" Ethan asked, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Yeah, we'll just have to pick up the cake that morning." I stated, already having the whole day planned out in my head for Emma's birthday.
"When are we doing the decorating?" He asked, turning off of the freeway.
"The night before, once she goes to bed." I yawned, leaning my head on hand, my elbow on the arm rest.
"You already have this all planned out in your head don't you?" He laughed.
"Of course." I laughed a little.
FLASHBACK
"Ethan, come on, we need to plan the wedding!" I said, as I sat down at the kitchen table, with papers surrounding me. I'm so stressed out about our wedding, and planning everything out, from the food to the music to the decorations. "Coming!" I heard him say as I heard his footsteps coming down the hall. He saw me frantically looking through binders and magazines and papers. He took me by the hand and pulled me up and into the living room. He moved the couch so we were standing in an empty space. He reached over and turned on the radio on the TV. "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran came on, and Ethan wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my waist. We danced along and it ended in me laughing over Ethan.
END OF FLASHBACK
"I always need to have things planned out... remember when we were planning the wedding?" I smiled.
"Yeah... ok true." He smiled.
"Honestly, I've probably planned this out more than we planned the wedding, cause my mom and Cameron helped us with the wedding planning." I pointed out, remember how stressful it was, but it definitely was worth it in the end.
"Is everyone coming to her party that we invited?" He asked as he turned the car onto our street.
"Yeah, but I still haven't heard from Wyatt and a few others..." I thought out loud.
"Maybe he-" Ethan started to say but was interrupted by my phone ringing, the screen lighting up with the words 'Wyatt Owens'. I answered it, putting it on speaker.
"Hey Wyatt." I said.
"Hey." Ethan said right after me.
"Hey guys." I heard his familiar voice.
"What's up?" I asked, thinking how coincidental it was that Wyatt called just as we were talking about him. Ethan pulled the car into the driveway and shut it off, taking the key out.
"I was just calling to let you know that I'll be able to make it to Emma's party, I wasn't sure whether I had plans that weekend or not." He said.
"Okay, great!" I said, looking at Ethan.
"Sam and Grayson will be there with their boys right?" He asked.
"Um, yeah, why?" I asked in confusion.
"No reason, it's just been so long since I've seen her and I haven't even met the little ones yet." He sighed.
"I'll go take Emma inside." Ethan whispered, getting out and getting Emma from the backseat, shutting the doors, leaving me in the car on the phone.
"I'm really can't wait to see you guys." Wyatt muttered into the phone before the line went dead/
