Crimson found himself staring at the hundreds of dragons flying towards him, then back at the massive army of scavengers.
The dragons soon landed.
"Well, we're here, what do you want before we take the prisoner?" Said queen clear sight.
"You can gladly take your death machine when we are done. But first, we must talk about something. My daughter and your death machine seemed to have discovered an anomaly in both of our timelines." Said the president.
"How so do you figure." Said queen Ruby.
"We believe the war started when you attacked about five months ago, and you believe it started when your council was bombed. We were not responsible for the bombing and from what I gather you didn't attack us." Said john.
"We did not attack you five months ago, but if neither of us are responsible for the war starting events." Said queen toad. "Then who did."
"We did," said sharp claws. "It took you idiots too long to figure it out." He said from atop a ridge right next to the clearing.
"You see with both of you gone, we could have all of Pyrrha for ourselves." Said another alpha.
"So is this the part where you attack in force and kill as many of us as possible?" Crimson asked.
"You are absolutely helpless, aren't you?" Said a third alpha.
A spear flew out of the forest directly behind the alphas. As it flew through the air, Crimson realized it was an ice wing spear.
It landed directly in queen clear sight's leg.
She howled in pain.
Crimson sprinted to the Queen as the ice crawled up her leg. He went into an instinctive mode and reached his claws to her leg. Other dragons instantly pointed their own ice wing spears at Crimson. Just before the ice reached the rest of her body, Crimson's claw cut through scale and bone, scorching the flesh beneath.
Clear sight let out another scream of pain, then looked down at her leg joint.
The guards were about to stab Crimson when clear sight yelled.
"Stop." She struggled to stand on three legs.
The guards stood in confusion, spears still at the ready.
"This dragon just saved my life." She said, awe struck herself.
"But your majesty, he cut off your leg." Said a sky wing, pointing at her leg stub.
"You there." Clear Sight pointed to a night wing. "Slap him for me."
The night wing obeyed, and slapped the sky wing.
"This dragon is a hero." She said.
"If I may interrupt, your majesty, shouldn't we, oh I don't know, CHASE THE PREDATORS!" Crimson yelled.
"No. Right now we must negotiate with our new scavenger friends." Queen Ruby said.
Wing breaker stepped forward, looking uneasy.
His eyes glowed white as a voice that definitely wasn't his own said.
"As 2 enemies let down their guards,
The true enemy is revealed.
The group of Jade must endure the trials.
The trial of fire can be found in the rubble, of a once great city that's now only a puddle. The trial of stone is found in a place of death and bone. The trial of night will come in the brightest of days and nights. The trial of rain can be found in a place deep underground. The trial of ice, you will find, in a place untouched by time. The trial of sea is found in only by the one who for it will be. The trial of sand can only be complete after all other trials are appeased.
Wing breaker instantly came back to his body.
"What was that?" Asked parrot.
"Was it a prophecy?" Asked Crimson.
"Aren't prophecies supposed to rhyme?" Asked Willow.
"Hey, stop making fun of my prophecy!" Yelled wing breaker.
"She's got a point, they usually rhyme." Queen Clear sight interjected.
"Well let's see you do better." Demanded wing breaker.
"Can we stop arguing and actually focus on what the prophecy said." Said queen toad.
"Well it said something about trials and some group of Jade." Said Scorpion.
"Group of Jade is probably us." Said Crimson.
"Well obviously." Queen Clear sight interrupted.
"Okay, now about the trials." Wing breaker said.
"My trial is in a city that is now rubble, but what happens when I complete the trial?" Crimson asked.
"How should we go about doing this?" Asked hammer head, who had been mostly silent, along with snowball.
"I think we should do it alone, just to be sure we don't break any rules." Said snowball.
"Ice wings and their tedious rules." Said queen clear sight.
"Actually, he might have a point." Crimson said.
"So then when do you plan on going, Crimson?" Asked Serena, who uncharacteristically barged into our conversation.
"Well, I'm pretty sure the prophecy was talking about the old dragon city, so now." Crimson said.
"Okay then." Said scorpion.
"What, no goodbye hugs?" Asked Crimson.
They all stared at him with a 'was that sarcasm?' Face.
"Oh, right, Mr. fiery mic death scales doesn't get hugs." Crimson said, feeling embarrassed.
And with that, he lifted off into the sky. He made sure to go extra high to ensure that he wouldn't be hit by any predator ice spears.
Despite Crimson's worries, the flight was uneventful. After about three hours of flying, Crimson arrived.
Going back to the city made crimson feel uneasy. He flew around a bit over the ruins, then saw the lava.
That's it. Crimson thought. The place I got this blessing curse hybrid. Wait a minute, maybe that was the trial. Maybe I'm done! But then what would everyone else's power be?
Just as Crimson landed, the earth shook beneath him, and a massive dragon covered in lava emerged from the lava pool.
