ANNABETH
Annabeth Chase was lying on her bed in California. She was annoyed. Why couldn't she just be a
regular mortal? Did she have to be a demigod?
It wasn't fair! She sighed, "I wonder what I did to the Fates to get this life."
"Wise Girl, what are you talking about?" Percy walked in. He was on vacation, and decided to
spend it in California. Annabeth blushed. She had a crush bigger than Tartarus on him.
"I'm just wondering why we have the bloodiest fate of the century. It's not fair!"
"Well I have an idea, let's go to the library!" Percy knew her so well!
*At the library*
"Seaweed Brain, look at this book! It's called The Lightning Thief. Huh, sort of like what happened to us!"
As they got further into the book, Annabeth screamed. "Woah Wise Girl, what's up?"
"Th-this book is-is about us!" Annabeth stuttered. "Every single detail!"
Percy laughed. "I knew we were famous with demigods, but with mortals too? Awesome! Who wrote that?"
Annabeth checked the book. "Uh, some guy named Rick Riordan."
Percy motioned for her to get up. "Let's check it out on the internet at my place."
*At Percy's apartment*
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" Annabeth's scream broke the silence.
"Wise Girl? What's up, what happened?"
"This person, Rick Riordan, it says he-he created the stories and what happen in them!"
"Wait, so basically, this guy created our fate?!"
Annabeth nodded. Her stormy gray eyes told him everything. They seemed to be saying, ' I need to find out more.'
