Aislinn's P.O.V:

“Is she alright? I got here as soon as I heard.” I said as I entered the room. Rhiannon's parents and Dr. Reynolds were having a conversation. I glanced at Rhiannon, lying helplessly in the bed. I can’t wrap my head around what had just happen. Why would Rhiannon do that to herself? She has everything going good for her. I tried to hold back the tears, but it was useless. Her arms were all bandaged up and so were the other parts of her body. “Is she going to be alright?”

“Well, the cuts were deep, but they will eventually heal. I think she should be psychiatrically evaluated.” Dr. Reynolds slowly said.

“What! Why?!” Evaluated.... Maybe she's going through a phase. Maybe......

“Well, Ms. Carter, you said that Rhiannon haven’t done anything like this before. To how you’re describing her, self-harm wouldn’t be something that's normally done; in concern for your daughter, I suggest that she should go see someone. Maybe she's dealing with some problems that you’re not aware of.........”

“Problems? What kind of problems?” Mr. Carter raised his voice a bit.

“It depends...... It could deal with school, the people around her, anything that causes any stress basically..........”

I felt a hand gently grab onto my arm and turned to see that it was Rhiannon. Her eyes looked so bloodshot compared to her skin, thats now pale like fresh snow. A smirk grew across my face and before I knew, I found myself hugging her.

“Hey Aislinn..... Mom and Dad....”

“Oh honey, I’m so glad that you’re alive. You scared us right there.”

“How long have I been in here?” She asked.

“A week......” I said to her. Her eyes widen in perplexity, like she didn’t know what I was talking about. “A week........What! What about school? Am I failing? And why do I have all these bandages wrapped around my arms? Did I get in an accident or something?” Questions were just slipping out her mouth like word vomit. I’m starting to think Dr. Reynolds was right, there's something Rhiannon is hiding. Ever since that day she had fought Akira, it seems as though Rhiannon is going in a uphill spiral. One day, she's acting normal; the next, the complete opposite; and it's only getting worse.

“Rhiannon, you cut yourself when you was at your house and passed out. And no, you’re not failing; everyone knows what happen.” I replied. She didn’t utter a word, only looked at her arms. Probably feeling guilty about what she had done, I know would too if I were her. But then again, I wouldn’t do anything like that to myself no matter how much shit I’m going through.

“Don’t worry, Rhiannon. We’ll release you today, now that you’re up and running. But I want you all to watch over her okay. We can’t make this incident happen again, or we will have to take action. I’m going to introduce you, Rhiannon to Dr. Perera. She will help you with your progress alright?”

“Okay. Thanks....” At least, she calmed down a bit.

At a quarter to three, we all were beginning to leave until Rhiannon's parents had pull me aside. “Aislinn, I know that you love Rhiannon like she's your sister and would do anything for her. And for that, I’m putting her into your hands. With this uncanny situation going on, I don’t want Malik getting mixed up in all of this. The kid's only eight years old. He doesn’t need to see his sister in this state......... Can you do us this favor?” I stared at them for a moment, trying to indulge what was said to me. They’re basically sending Rhiannon away. I understand why but I have my own issues to deal with. But I guess that's what best friends are for, right? “Okay, I’ll do it.”
