Aislinn's P.O.V:
The following morning was pretty hazy, it had been raining all day. I was already dressed when I went downstairs to get something to eat before I went off to school. Everybody else was in bed since it's about 6:30 in the morning. I opened the refrigerator and grabbed the milk and a box of Honey Nut Cheerios from the cabinet, pouring it into a bowl before I leaned over and grab a spoon. Vroom.... "What the hell is that?" I searched around the kitchen but didn't see anything on the ground, then ominous sound appears again. Now, it sounds like it's coming from the living room. I proceeded inside and what I found was a disheveled Rhiannon laying on the couch, sleeping. I poked her on the shoulder a few times until her eyes finally began to open, rubbing her eyes for a bit before she realized that it was me.
"What the fuckk....." She jumped up.
"Good morning to you too, Rhiannon! Where have you been last night?" I asked in a sudden frustration.
"Since when you became my mother. If I want to go out, I can.................... bitch." She said walking, then missing her step and tripped before she had entered the kitchen.
"Bitch? Oh hell no....."
"What is going on here?" It was Maxine, running down the stairs. She looks as she just woke up and is ready to punch someone in the face. “Ms. Carter over here thinks she can do whatever she wants around here.” I seriously don't know where all the attitude had come from but it needs to get squash quick.
“Is this true, Rhiannon? I thought you were better than that?”
“Imogen........ How many fucking times I have to say ‘Imogen’!!!!! Urgh!!!!!!!!” Then she began pulling down stuff from the cabinets and everything down stairs, making a huge mess. There were broken glass on the floor and when she grabs for my mom's favourite vase, that's when my blood went numb. “Imogen, give it to me. You don’t wanna do this...” She smirk and start throwing it from hand to hand, playing with it like its a toy. “It's a antique.....Don’t do it.”
Cling! “Whoops............” Rhiannon start to laughing hysterically. Maxine tried to calm her down, but Imogen had made a quick reflex and punched her in the jaw, causing Maxine to collapse in pain. I gasp at what had happened; I never knew she could be so violent. My mind wanted me to go and kill her for doing that to Maxine, especially in her condition, but I just couldn’t. Where did my best friend go? How did she went from an angel to a demon in the past couple of weeks? I never felt so much stress and agony in my life. As I wallow in my own despair, Maxine finally got up back on her own two feet, infuriated at the fact that Rhiannon had just put her hands on her first.
“Okay, you need to get the fuck out!!!! I had enough of your bullshit!!!!” She finally said.
“You’re kicking her out?” I knew it was a stupid question to ask but I just feel to do so anyway.
“Hell yeah. No person is gonna come in here and puts their hands on me like that. She needs to leave. I understand that you’re trying to help her out Aislinn; but it looks as though she doesn’t need it.”
“Oh cut the horseshit, Maxine. You really think your life is all glitz and glamour? Please, you couldn’t even tell your own fucking sister the truth! Well, all the secrets is out honey..............that's right...........Aislinn knows; so you better accept your fate now!” and with that, Rhiannon walked out the front door, leaving a heavy thick fog of tension in the room. For a couple of minutes, Maxine and I didn’t utter a word. Our eyes were locked in a gloomy daze, and tears of profound sadness fell from Maxine's eyes. In a way, I kind of felt bad for her, like I was the one who passed on the disease; ruining all the future endeavors that she had in place for her new life.
