Imogen’s P.O.V:
“Whenever you’re ready to talk, I’m here.” Dr. Perera said while sitting in a chair in the middle of the room, with a pad and pen held in her hands. She appeared calm, had only been saying very positive things ever since I’ve arrived. Just another way to make the truth slip from my lips, fat chance! “Listen, Miss..... I know what Aislinn had said about me but..... There's nothing wrong with me. I’m perfectly fine.......really!” I tried to make my voice sound sincere as possible; there's nothing in the world that can describe how badly I want to get the hell out of here. She hadn’t spoke another word, only sat there and continue to look at me with an unconvinced look on her face. The anesthesia hadn’t fade off yet, I still feel loopy and giddy like the world is upside down.
“It's hard to keep up with the anesthesia still running in your system, isn’t it?”She questioned.
“Yeah, I guess. Look lady, when can I leave?”
“Not until you start to open yourself to me up and express your thoughts and feelings. You might think that everything's alright, but the people around you think on the contrary. Do you agree, Rhiannon?”
“...........” I bit on my lips hard as I sit across her; I swear if those two guys hadn’t tied up my wrists down to the chair, I would’ve came and bash her face in already. Anger stream at every inch of my body, I tried to control myself but I guess I can’t help it when I get to a certain level of aggravation.
“What are you upset about? Your wrists are shaking like crazy.”
“I just hate being called ‘Rhiannon’. That's all.”
“Is that so? How come?” She jotted down something on the pad and focused her eyes back to me.
“It's just not me. I don’t belong to that name.......” I tried to place my words very carefully.
“What do you want me to call you then?”
“Imogen.”
“Oh, Imogen...... Do you know the real reason why you’re here today?”
“Cause that bitch said a whole bunch of fucking lies about me that isn’t -.................. I’m sorry, I apologize -..................................... I lost my temper for a moment. That girl Aislinn is a moron, lady.”
“I thought Aislinn is your best friend. I bet she wouldn’t like what you said about her being a liar.”
“She can go fuck herself for all I care. I don't give two shits about her feelings. What about me? I tied to a damn chair for crying out loud.” These questions are really pissing me the fuck off man.
“You really hate her?”
“I despise her. She’s a freaking liar and a traitor.”
“Ok. How long have since you seen your parents?”
“I don’t remember. But they can suck a dick too. They never loved me. They always prefer the adopted kid over me.”
“Your brother, Malik? I don’t think they don’t love you, Imogen. I think they’re scared..........”
“Of what? Seriously what? They have nothing to fear.”
“Of what you’ve become, Imogen. Think about it, I don’t think you were always so angry. A matter of fact, I talked to your other family members and friends and they describe you as a sweet, nice and quiet girl that stick her head in the books and nothing else except for Jake Peterson. Am I right?”
“Oh my god. Jake. How did you know?”
“It's okay Imogen. I’m supposed to know about those kinds of things.”
“Imogen? Who is that?”
“You said that you don’t like being called ‘Rhiannon’.”
“My name means great queen, so why would I hate it.”
“What's you favourite colour Rhiannon ....... Imogen?”
“Violet.”
“Black.”
“Do you love you friends and family?
“Of course, I do. I can’t live without them.”
“Nope. My heart only belongs to a special someone.”
“Special someone?”
“Yeah, Name's Drew, great person to have sex with though. He had me going for hours.”
“(smiling) You had a great time then?”
“Hell yeah......” She finally got up from her seat when she finished putting the little bit of notes in her pad. I felt relieved that the interrogation with Indian-lady is done. A spark of accomplishment flashed across my face. I see her walk towards the door letting herself go. But I’m still stuck to the chair, isn’t she going to help me out? Damn, people these days.
“Are you going to let me go? I told you everything I have to tell you.”
“I will in a minute. Please wait okay. Don’t worry, I’ll be back.” She better be........ or things are going to get pretty ugly in here. No joke.
Aislinn's P.O.V:
I waited and waited for Dr. Perera and Rhiannon to come and walk out the door. I’m fretting like hell out here. I thought about every possibility that can happen to her. I feel like my mom right now. The stress is too much for me; I wouldn’t be surprised if my hair starts falling out. It’s already short; it couldn’t get worse.
“Aislinn! How are you doing today?” Its Dr. Perera.
“Thank god. How is she?”
“Well, there’s definitely something going on. Which is pretty weird, because many of my patients normally open up to me within the fifth or sixth meeting.”
“That’s good? Right?” I just wanted to get the best answers from her as possible.
“Yes; for her first time.”
“First? I thought you two had met in sessions already............................................................ She lied to me. She portrayed like she's getting better while in reality Rhiannon was getting even worse. Why would she do that to me? I thought we’re friends. I don’t know who she is anymore. She curse, throws fits, wears more risqué clothes, gained a flamboyant ego; that's not Rhiannon Carter. That's not my best friend.”
“I’m sorry for making you upset. I just thought you should know. I have a feeling that she's developed a mental illness. She's showing some signs of D.I.D. Have you ever notice signs of blackouts, headaches, change in behavior/mood swings, suicidal tendencies or anything pertaining to DID.”
“Well yeah I guess. After being in the hospital from the volleyball tournament, she has experiences some headaches, but they went away after a while. Blackouts, I remember when we first had an argument at my house, she said she always finds herself doing thing she don’t remember doing or said things she don’t remember saying. Other than her change in attitude, that's it.”
“Thanks, I figured that. Well, I’m going to keep Rhiannon here at the hospital until we hopefully get this resolve.“
“Okay, well I’m going to go now. And thanks times a million. I don’t know what I would do.”
“Your welcome and don’t be so hard on yourself, you did the right thing. Now go home and get some rest.” And I followed her orders. As I exit out the hospital, I notice someone is standing in the front, pressed against my car. I couldn’t see clearly because of all the people inside but when no one was in sight, I realized that it was Kimiko. She seem very upset.... almost if she got in a fight with somebody. I stopped and stared at her, like she was doing with me. It was like we were enemies, she with her team and me with my cronies. And just when I’m about to step past her and proceed into my car, Kimiko turns and says to me: “We need to talk......” From hearing those four little words, I knew it wasn’t going to be pretty.
