Six.
Stella's POV
If only God gives me an opportunity to do one thing, then I'll certainly turn back the time. Just if only..
I know that I did a very wrong thing. How freaking brave I am to defy Dave when I know he can likely do something awful to me. Who knows?
And I'm getting afraid and a bit scared just because of my accursed words.
Ok, judge me for being a chicken now. But it's out of my own demeanor. I don't even plan on saying that to him. It's coming out of myself all of a sudden.
I sit down on my bed, figuring out about what has just happened today, or especially the one that has happened before the school is over today.
Someone knocks the door suddenly, as I immediately know who it is. It's certainly my mom. Nobody else is in this house except her and I.
I pull the door open, as it shows my mom.
"Hey mom, what happened?" I smile as I watch her visage. She looks weary nowadays, and I'm pretty certain she's sleepless these past days. And also, I can observe those wounds on some parts of her body that is caused because of my inhumane father a few weeks ago. Although it doesn't seem like it's in a serious condition anymore, but regardless.. it hurts me indirectly.
"Are you busy now?" she carries on, causing it to get me out of my daze.
"No. Why?" I answer as I frowned in perplexity.
"I need your help," she pauses her words before continuing, "Do you mind?"
"I don't. What do you want me to help?" I offer as a smile starts turning up my face.
"Can you deliver an order cake? I'm not feeling well now" she rubs her eyes for a moment in fatigue, making me really feel concerned at her. No wonder she isn't feeling well, she has been working for what feels like forever and I know she accomplishes for this really hard. She does all of this to maintain our lives, and I'm pretty impressed at her. I've been trying to help her a million times, but she insists on refusing my aids. Now, what she needs and deserves is a rest.
"Okay. I will" I determine, as a smile rises upon my lips sincerely. She leads me towards the kitchen where the cake is prepared already, as she fetches it and hands it to me.
"Here's the address," she gives me a little note of it's address before pushing on, "Make sure you're not lost in the midway" she jokes, making me chuckle a bit. Even if she's so exhausted now, she can still produce a joke. That's why I love her so much that I can't even explain in words. Having her as my mom is literally a really best thing ever in my whole life.
"I won't" I grin at her joke, before leaving her to get dressed.
I just need about five minutes to prepare for myself, as I come out of my room afterwards.
"I leave" I say.
"Take care hun" she looks at me with her adorable looks.
I smile before leaving to go to her buyer's house.
The address that's given by mom isn't that familiar to me, but it isn't that foreign yet. I've a picture of where this place is, as my feet keep carrying me through the uproar street. It takes several minutes for me to find the house. Searching out for something that you haven't known yet before ain't never easy you know.
But I keep relying on my instincts, knowing that it customarily is always right. Well, I've never belittled on my instincts, because I know God has bestowed me this little blessing thing.
