          Mike's P.O.V

El and I spent the rest of the night cuddling and eating and the guys all made excuses to leave.

It was a Friday night, thank goodness, so I wouldn't have to deal with going to school

just yet. Already, it was super late and I needed to head upstairs, but El had fallen asleep against

me and I wanted to stay. I ended up sitting there waiting for an excuse good enough to make

me leave her. Let's be honest though. There truly really wasn't any to exist.

Still when Nancy called down for me to go to bed, I didn't really have a choice.

It took me my whole will to lay El down on the couch and go upstairs.

"Mike," Nancy called as I passed by her.

"What is it?" I asked begrudgingly.

"Care to fill me in? I mean, Eleven's back and that's a pretty big deal," she said.

"Oh yeah. That," I said, but my face lit up to hear it said by somebody else.

"Well..." I started. And we up for the rest of the night.

Time Skip to the Next Morning:

"Tap, tap." A knock on my door startled me awake.

"What the heck," I grumbled, but opening the door, it all came back to me in unorganized waves.

"Mike," Eleven said and grabbed me in a hug. Her tone was panicky.

"El, what's wrong," I questioned, frantically. What if something had happened?

"Bad men. Monster. Nightmare," she told me, yet I was not entirely relieved.

"It's okay. It was just a dream, not real" I said. But something in my gut was nagging me.

"Promise?" she asked.

I couldn't bring myself to say it back because I didn't know. I truly didn't know and I couldn't

lie to her.

"No," I replied softly.

"No?" she asked me again.

"Friends don't lie and I can't give you a real answer. I will say that we will fight through anything

together." I explained.

She nodded and gave me another squeeze.

We had eaten dinner last night when we were cuddling and I could tell she was already

regaining her strength back.

"Awww, look at you two." Nancy was up.

"Yeah, look at us," I thought.

"Mike...You realize that you just said that aloud, right." Nancy said, a laugh present in her voice.

I was a little embarrassed, but El had smiled at my comment, so I didn't take it back.

"Yeah, whatever," I said, chuckling.

"We're more than pretty," El spoke up.

She hadn't exactly used the best context, but I gawked at her comment. Nancy, herself

even looked a bit surprised.

"We are." I said and I had never meant anything more in my life.

Author's Note:

Sorry this is another short chapter, but it is kind of just filler. I have some drama coming soon. Be ready. Thank you to all of you for reading. It makes my day. Comment what character you would like to hear more about besides Mike and Eleven and give me plot ideas if you have any. I love you guys. <3
