Eleven's P.O.V
"Ding," the silver box sounded as my eggos popped up. My stomach was grumbling so loud I was
afraid Mike would hear it. I was a little sad I wouldn't get a nice breakfast from Mike's mom
because she had to go to work, but I didn't mind much, since I was getting my favorite as a
replacement. The eggos were warm and soft in my mouth. Nancy and Mike watched with smiles
as I devoured them quickly. Their eating was the opposite of mine. Slow and orderly.
"El?" Nancy asked. I lifted my brown eyes up from my plate.
"Do you want to go shopping today?"
"What is...shopping?" I questioned. I still had so many things to learn.
"It's basically when you go to the store and buy stuff you want. In this case, clothes," Mike explained.
"Are you coming?" I asked him.
"Of course." he said, sweetly.
"Okay." I was excited.
Time Skip: Early Afternoon
Mike's P.O.V
El came downstairs in a pale blue dress borrowed from Nancy with her shoulder-length hair
styled slightly. It took me a minute to shut my open mouth and I noticed the flush like a blanket
covering her cheeks.
In the car, we sat next to each other, comfortably. Butterflies were swarming in my gut and I was
suddenly aware of the fact that our fingertips were very close to each other. My hands turned
clammy as I awkwardly grabbed her index and middle fingers. She glanced down and placed
her hand on top of mine instead. The butterflies fluttered even more.
After a short drive, Nancy finally called back,
"Mike, we're here," and grinned to see our locked hands.
We continued to hold hands as we walked through the store, but now El's face was full of awe.
The fingertips of her free hand ran over racks of dresses and cotton tops. She seemed to be
entranced. She and Nancy both filled their arms with clothes and hangers until they couldn't
carry anymore. I could tell it was gonna be a while for trying things on.
Nancy's P.O.V
It was nice to have El like a little sister and it gave me so much satisfaction to see her so happy
trying everything on. She was one of those girls who didn't need makeup or expensive jewelry
to be gorgeous. She was radiant all by herself. Still, Mike was definitely something to give her
an extra sort of glow.
Mike's P.O.V
Every outfit El stepped out in perfectly suit her. She kept doing little twirls and poses as if she
were a model. She was a model in my eyes, though.
Lucas' House that Night
Lucas' P.O.V
I was finally starting to fall asleep when I heard the muffled noise of Dustin's voice that I was so
accustomed to.
"Lucas, come in. Over," he said.
"What, I was trying to sleep for your information. Over," I told him and my tone was groggy.
"Oh, shit. Sorry, man. It's just that I was wondering when we are gonna officially
introduce El and Will. I mean it must of been pretty awkward in the car for him. Over," he explained.
"I guess you're right. We'll tell Mike tomorrow. Over and out," I said and with that I could finally
rest.

FanfictionWe're more than pretty," El spoke up. She hadn't exactly used the best context, but I gawked at her comment. Nancy, herself even looked a bit surprised. "We are." I said and I had never meant anything more in my life. *Book Cover Credit to the ama...
