Last year, you moved here and immediately fell for Denis, your neighbor.
Drama, tears, and muc...
"Damon Paxton!" Jennifer screeched with a smile on her face
You felt a smile creep across your face and even across Kermits, which was the first in awhile.
2 hands firmly grasped your shoulders and gently massaged your upper back.
"Denis?" you asked, turning around. He was standing there with a toothy grin and his I <3 cats t shirt.
"Were you recording or something?" You asked, he just shook his head "Who picked it?" Adam asked "I did!" Kermit said, quietly "Great pick, it's perfect." Your mother said, then grabbed her hand. "Ladies, listen, I know you both lost a friend, but cheer up! This is a good time for the family, even you Kermit, you're family now," she said, Kermit looked like she was going to cry You sighed and just went back to chatting, trying not to think about Sophia much.
Kermits POV
It really wasn't fair that I was dragged here. I don't want to be here. Not at all. I really like Elijah, but I wasn't a fan of him dragging me here. Not when I just lost my sister. I don't even know Jennifer that well, I don't think she likes me. And as for y/n, I don't really know, how could she just sit there and spend time with her boyfriend when her best friend just killed herself? What the hell? I'm kind of pissed. Like, a lot. I love y/n, so much, but this isn't okay. If anything, she should be staying with me. Not with Denis. But it's not like I'm jealous or anything, that would be stupid. It's not like I'm mad that Denis gets her all the time. Is he the one that lost a best friend? No. Is he the one that needs a friend? No. Is he the one that only loves her for the sex? Yes. And I'm not a fan. I tried my best to drag Elijah out of here, I needed to start on my plan to get y/n out of that twisted relationship. I mean, he slapped her, LAID A HAND ON HER! Who knows, maybe Elijah will help me out with this.
Elijah's POV
Don't ask, because I have no clue what's going on with Kermit right now. She's been going crazy! Absolutely crazy! You don't know crazy until you meet Kermit She is beautiful, but insane, insane. All she's been doing is babbling on about Y/N and Sophia, but don't get me wrong, I completely understand. But still. I knew she wanted to leave, so I used the "we've got to feed the cat" excuse and we were outta there.
Denis's POV
Everybody had left, Alex was taking Jennifer out to ice cream or something Since y/n wanted to go on a walk or something, we did that. "Denis,," she started "Kitten?" She laughed a bit and just looked down at her shoes, grabbing my hand firmly "Isn't it crazy how much we've been through?" She said "Yeah. Do you remember when you were in a coma for 5 days?" "Yeah. Do you remember when I kissed you for the first time?" "Yeah, do you remember when I asked you to be my girlfriend?" I said, stopping and grasping her waist, gazing out into the lake "I do." She said. "But what about the future?" "What about it?" "Well. I mean, I want a family someday.." she said, her voice trailing off " I do to, but we're so young..." I said "Yeah, I know," she said, I know she wanted to say more but I didn't want to push it. "Well, I know I'm going to marry you someday, y/n Kopotun, it's got a ring to it don't it?" She chuckled. "Yeah, I guess it does." "It does. And someday, when our baby is born, I'll buy a huge house, and we'll give him everything," I said, gesturing "Him?" "Yeah, him." "You know that's 50/50, right?" I shrugged and nodded. "But I don't care as long as it's with you," she said, turning to me and smiling. The sunset danced across her eyes and made her skin glow. God she was perfect.

"I love you, Kitten" "I love you too. Denis." The sun set and the midnight sun came out into the black sky, lighting up the crystal blue waters and the city from far away He held your hand tightly and fiddled with your ring, twirling it around and round "You know, I've had a few girlfriends in the past, but none quite like you." "Oh really? How so?" "You are...just different I guess." Denis said, smiling down at you "Like I didn't know," Denis laughed and you kept walking. "But really. I've never wanted to be with somebody as much as you." "Aw, and neither have I." "Promise?" "Promise."
