It was funny how at the beginning of this pregnancy she had been searching everyday for even a hint of a bump, and now she couldn't wait to give birth- which she hoped was any day now. Olivia was almost two weeks past her due date and miserable did not even begin to describe the way she had been feeling. She was barely getting any sleep, her feet had been so swollen she was stuck wearing house slippers, and their baby had barely made any changes since her appointment a few days ago. She had done everything: castor oil, spicy foods, going on long walks, and even sex; nothing had worked and she was convinced she was going to lose her mind.

She had went on maternity leave once she was 38 weeks and eventually went back to work last week when she realized this baby wasn't coming anytime soon. Captain Cragen and Elliot had protested against it, but Olivia had put up a fight til the end. She couldn't stand being at home any longer. Spending time with Greyson was great, but carrying around an extra almost 40 pounds made it that much harder to chase a rambunctious one year old around.

It was Wednesday night when she felt what she knew had to have been contractions. She had gotten excited, remembering just how fast her labor with Greyson had been but was met with disappointment when her contractions continued to come only every hour or so for the entire night.

"Liv, what can I do for you?" Elliot stood over Olivia as she kneeled next to the couch trying to ride out her pain. It was nearing noon and she had finally gotten what she wanted, her contractions had sped up coming every ten minutes.

"Either get this baby out of me or go away!" she moaned as she rested in almost a praying position. She had forgotten just how much this had hurt, and had no idea how she had gotten through it with no drugs the last time. "Can we please go to the hospital?"

"Not until your contractions are two minutes apart- doctor's orders," she grunted and reached for a pillow to bite into as another one tore through her. "You're doing amazing baby!" he sat beside her and rubbed her lower back.

"Can you please just shut up?" she snapped back at him. He knew it was only her pain talking and decided to give her some space. This had been so much more different than when she had Greyson. Everything had moved so quickly, barely getting her to the hospital in time to deliver. And now she was not only overdue, but going on her 15th hour of labor.

It was only a few hours later when Olivia could finally go on to the hospital. Although she had been begging for this baby to come, she was terrified once they had admit her to the hospital. She cried a few times, pleading with the doctor to give her an epidural. As much as she had pushed for a natural birth, Olivia decided to listen to her body and get a pain reliever.

It was nearing midnight when the doctor had come in and checked Olivia, seeing that she was finally ten centimeters dilated. The drugs and worked wonders for her, and Olivia had felt more than ready to bring their baby into this world. She thought it would take forever between pushing and waiting on the next contraction, but their baby had pushed herself out in just ten minutes.

They had a baby girl. Just what Olivia had been praying for.

It had all happened so fast. One moment Elliot had been watching the crowning of their baby girl's head, and the next moment she was screaming on her mother's chest. From the very minute she laid eyes on her, Olivia's eyes had flooded with tears. They had gone through with keeping the gender a surprise again, and through her entire pregnancy she had kept imagining what it would be like if they had a baby girl. She dreamed about taking her out for mani/pedis, snuggling with her on rainy afternoons and watching princess movies, or sneaking off and spending their entire saturday shopping.
