Nine surprisingly blissful months had passed by since the birth of their baby boy, and Olivia and Elliot had found themselves falling in love with each other all over again. It was difficult in the beginning, but they had kept their promises to each other and continued to work on their marriage- for Greyson.
It seemed as though everything had fallen into place once the baby was born. Haden had left and for good this time, abruptly leaving and taking a job in Chicago only a few weeks after Olivia had given birth. She would be lying if she said him being gone didn't make her life easier. Him being around to work on cases with her squad wasn't something she had been looking forward to.
They had even taken initiative to move into a new house, one that was little bit smaller and felt more like home. Too many memories of the past year remained in their old house, and the only thing she wanted to do was put it behind her- behind them.
"Can you say ma-ma? Ma-ma," Olivia sat in front of the highchair as she fed Greyson a bowl of baby cereal that morning, trying her darndest to get her baby boy to finally say her name. He responded by mushing his hands in the bowl, squishing the cereal in his chubby hands.
"Oh, Greyson!" Olivia couldn't help my laugh at his antics, moving the bowl out of his reach and cleaning off his hands.
"Liv, you just gotta accept that his first word is gonna be dada," Elliot had come down the backstairs to their kitchen after listening in on their one sided conversation.
"No, it's gonna be mama. See ma-ma Greyson!" she said enthusiastically pointing at herself.
"Or dada," he smirked before leaning down to kiss her good morning. He had already gotten dressed for the day wearing his usual dress pants and button up shirt.
"Oh shut up!" she rolled her eyes playfully and pulled him by his collar for another kiss. "You look good baby. Still have that meeting with-"
"Yes, I do. But if you keep kissing me like this I'm gonna be late," opting for the latter she tugged on his bottom lip, a devilish grin forming on her face. "Olivia," he had used her full name and she knew that was his way of warning her.
"You're no fun," she pouted and released his collar.
"Unless you want Greyson to become a big brother soon you need to behave woman," she laughed because little did he know. He kissed her temple and smirked before grabbing the baby from his highchair.
"Well then you need to stop being so damn irresistible," she bit on her bottom before getting up and going over to the kitchen sink to soak the few dishes she had messed up this morning.
"Me? You're the one who walks around in short satin robes in the morning-one that you clearly aren't wearing anything underneath," his eyes trailed down her backside, appreciating how effortlessly the silk fell over her curves.
"Well maybe I would have something else the wear if you didn't make it a habit to rip my very expensive lace underwear," he let out a laugh, making Greyson laugh at his dad, mimicking him.
"Greyson are you laughing at mama?" Olivia dried her hands and went to tickle his tummy while he was still in Elliot's arms.
"I gotta get going baby," he peppered Greyson's cheeks with kisses before setting him down and letting him crawl off into the living room. "I'll be home for dinner," he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her close to him, and in return she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Are you sure you have to go?" she nipped at his neck and up along his jawline before connecting her lips to his.
"Yes," he smiled slyly at her and kissed the corner of her mouth. "But I will make it up to you-promise," he hugged her tight for a moment before pulling away from her.
