Elliot had gotten to the hospital just in time, Olivia had already dilated to 9 centimeters. The team that was on that night had rushed Olivia immediately to the nearest delivery room, begging and pleading with her to not push. She was in a world of pain the entire 9 levels they had to ride up to the maternity ward. The entire hospital hearing her shrieking screams throughout the halls. They had cut Olivia out of the leggings she had worn, and had prepped her to begin pushing.
"Olivia, I need you to hold on a little bit longer," the nurse had tried to hide the panic in her voice, worried that this baby would be coming before the doctor had gotten there.
"I can't! I can't!" the tears had fallen nonstop, the pain becoming more intense.
"Your doctor is on her way up Olivia!"
"Why does it hurt so bad?" Olivia cried out.
"Look at me baby," Elliot said calmly, brushing the damp strands of hair out of her face. "You need to try and take deep breaths," he inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. She tried to focus on just him and mimicked his breathing. "You're doing good, just like that," she had managed to calm down, her breathing becoming even, being able to focus on riding out these pains as they came every minute.
"I'm being punished for what I did, aren't I?" she looked to her left at Elliot, and held onto her hand.
"Olivia, you listen to me. What happened in the past doesn't matter anymore, okay? You're bringing new life into this world, this is your chance to do better," he was being completely and utterly honest with her. They couldn't go on like this after the baby was here. She had done possibly the worst thing she could have to Elliot, and had been dealing with the consequences of it for almost the past year. He had sworn he'd heard his heart shatter into a million pieces the day she had told him. But he had worked extremely hard on forgiving her, and wanted nothing more than to try and bounce back from this. If that meant having to remind her everyday that he had forgiven her, that he was ready to come back to her, then he would.
"Oh my god!" she screamed as another contraction tore through her body. That aching feeling to push only becoming more intense.
"I'm here! I'm here! Olivia, let's get pushing!" her doctor had ran into the delivery room, full suited and prepared. "Your baby is already crowning, can you bare down for me and give me a nice big push on this next contraction?"
Olivia tried to focus, to remember all of the words Elliot had just spoken to her. They were going to meet their baby in only a matter of minutes, and she tried her best to gather every bit of strength she had left. It was the pain that was getting to her, making her feel weak and vulnerable. Causing her to think this was just apart of the punishment for what she had done to Elliot. All the pain she had caused him was coming back to her, and she couldn't take it much longer.
"Push for me Olivia!"
"I can't!" she yelled back, fear settling deep within her.
"You can! I can see the top of your baby's head. They're ready to meet you, do this for your baby," the doctor encouraged Olivia, urging for her to push. And so she did.
"Come on baby, you're doing good," Elliot encouraged her softly as she mustered up enough strength bring their baby into the world.
Olivia only gave three more pushes before a cry filled room, sending her into a bawling mess.
She did it.
"It's a boy! We have a little baby boy!" she cried as the doctor laid him across her chest, the skin to skin contact gradually calming him.
"You did it Olivia!"
"No, we did it. We did it, Elliot."

"Hi my sweet boy," Olivia cooed as she nursed their baby boy for the first time. "Mama loves you so much already Greyson," she kissed the top of his dark hair, and ran her index finger over his cheek. It had only been a few hours since his birth, and she was already so in love with him. All of the pain and agony had soon been forgotten the moment she had gotten a glimpse of his eyes, those ocean blue eyes.
Just like his father's.
Elliot had been just as elated and had hardly left Olivia's side since early this morning when they had come in. She had to force him to go downstairs and get some food, since he wouldn't try and go to sleep. It was nearing only six in the morning, and Olivia had already found herself overly exhausted. But she couldn't sleep now, not while the tiny human she fought so hard for rested in her arms.
A few tears had managed to escape as she watched him, forever grateful life had given her one more chance to make things right.
Something just so I don't leave you all hanging. I want this to end perfectly, so until I figure that out..thanks for reading and I'll update soon xx
