Valentine's Day - pt. 1

"Alex, are you busy? Can we meet somewhere?"

"Woah, there. Not even a hello?"

"Well, hello. Can I speak to Alex?" Chloe rolled her eyes playfully, though Alex couldn't see it.

Chloe heard him chuckle. "I'm not that busy. We can meet later when I finish work. Or I'll come home with Greyson—"

"No, don't! I want to meet you alone."

"Chloe, is everything okay? Did you two fight?"

"No, it's not that. I... later I'll tell you. Can we meet somewhere first?"

"Okay, but wouldn't Greyson be suspicious if he knew you weren't home?"

   "I'll handle that, no worries. Now the most important thing is we have to meet."

   "You sound so serious. Hmm, what about that coffee shop we used to hang out once? Is that okay?"

   "Perfect. Hmm, Alex. Can you pick me up, please...?"

   "Why don't you ask your husband to drive you there?" Alex joked.

   "I don't want him to know about the meeting. Please don't tell him you're going to see me."

   "Fine. I seriously wonder what it is..."

   "You'll know. I just need your help and don't forget to pick me up. See you soon, bye!"

   Chloe waited patiently for the time to pass by. She needed to ask Alex's opinion on something and it was about Greyson.

   "It's already 6:15. Where is he?"

   Chloe just hoped Alex would arrive before her husband got home. The sound of car horn distracted her thoughts.

   Alex sipped his coffee and looked at Chloe. "Okay. So, what's the important thing that you don't want Greyson to know that you wanna talk about?"

   "Okay, you see. Valentine's Day is coming in two days. So, I want to give Greyson something that he won't forget, that he would remember forever. I'm asking you, as a man, what do you want girls to give you on Valentine's Day?"

   Alex was stunned. "Are you serious?"

   "What?"

   "You wanted to meet me only to ask what you should give to your husband on Valentine's day? Seriously, Chloe? There's a thing called texting, have you ever heard about it?" Alex asked, being sarcastic.

   Chloe smiled awkwardly. "Ehehe... I had no idea to whom I should ask. I need your opinion, Alex! And I wanna talk to you face to face."

   Alex thought for a while and let Chloe talk.

   "Do you think he would like it if I give him a watch? Or a wallet? Probably a necktie?"

   Alex looked at his sister. She never had any experience with a guy before so she was new to this yet she wanted it to be perfect and it was all for Greyson. Greyson better be thankful for having her as his wife.

   "He doesn't need those things, Chloe. He has money. He can buy them himself."

   Chloe frowned. "Then what should I get him? I seriously have no idea. What men like, Alex? Just be honest, I don't mind." She asked innocently.
