Greyson woke up to a throbbing pain in his head. It took him a while to realize that he wasn't in his bedroom. His body felt sore and weak but he couldn't just stay in bed forever so he slowly got up.

He looked around the room one last time before he closed the door and went to his bedroom to take a shower.

"No, I can't do that."

"Please, Chloe. He needs you."

Chloe shook her head. "Alex, he rejected me when he's got what he wanted from me. His words are still ringing in my head. He broke my heart and you know that."

Alex sighed knowing what Chloe had said was true. But he needed her help to bring Greyson back to life. That kid was lost and the only person who Alex thought could help him was Chloe.

"I know but that day when I went to check on him he looked miserable. He didn't even visit his father at the hospital. I was mad but looking at him, I felt pity. Chloe, please."

"Why me, Alex? You know what he thought of me, right? His words hurt me. Why would I want to go and see him? To let him spit his harsh words on me for the third time? No, Alex. That's not gonna happen again."

"But you do still love him, don't you?"

Chloe stayed silent for a second. "Well, that doesn't matter anymore. He could and would never return the feelings. Maybe I should just move on." She shrugged off her shoulders.

"And that does matter because I personally think he feels the same way as you do."

Chloe looked at Alex in disbelief with her lips slightly parted. Then she breathed out a small laugh. "Are you out of your mind? You didn't have to say that to make me change my mind. Nice try, Alex."

"I'm serious, Chloe. After the last time you two saw each other, his drinking habit has become worse. And almost every time when he was drunk, he mentioned your name."

"What?" Chloe asked, unsure about what Alex just told her.

"Yes, I know. It was hard for me to believe it either but when that happened for a few times, I know he was thinking about you. He even cried for you which was the most unbelievable thing that I thought he ever did." Alex told. He really hoped Chloe would open her heart and change her mind.

"He was just drunk. Drunk people talk nonsense."

"Drunk people talk the truth, Chloe." Alex corrected her. That made Chloe quietened. "And I think it's best for everyone if you're the one who tell him what we are. I mean our relationship."

   "Why?"

   "He thinks we are lovers."

Three days passed but Greyson didn't seem to care. He locked himself up in the room, living in his own world. Alex had to cancel all meetings and appointments because Greyson just won't leave his bedroom. He didn't even go to the hospital to bring his father back home.

Alex didn't want to tell Scott about Greyson, afraid that he might feel worried and fall sick again but he couldn't lie when Scott asked him how Greyson was doing. Anyway, he was in the backseat with Scott, on the way home from the hospital.

"He won't come out from his room and won't talk to anyone."

"Did you check on him? Is he well? Did he eat?" Scott asked, concerned. Alex sighed.

"Maura did and she said Greyson was always in his bed every time she entered his room. He ate the food Maura cooked him but...so little." Alex explained. He didn't manage to visit the mansion yet because he needed to handle things at the office while Greyson was away. But he managed to steal some time to bring Scott home since Greyson wouldn't do it.
