Chapter 1/ Intro Chapter

(Intro) :

Hi I'm Lauryn Parkins. I'm 13 years old and I live in hawaii... Until now.

My parents feel like we need to restart and move to a new state. So out of all the states in the world, they chose North Carolina. So they moved me , my older brother Marcus, and my older sister Lexi , to a brand new life.

Will I fit in? Gaaah.

**YOUR POV***

"Lauryn!! Stop crying and hurry up!" my brother Marcus yells at me from downstairs.

We're moving. #NOPE. I hate moving. Especially from Hawaii. I was born and raised here. How can we just move?

"Coming!" I yelled wiping the years off my face. "GOODBYE ROOM!" I said very dramatically and went downstairs.

I walked downstairs to an empty house. But there stood my parents and siblings.

My brother Marcus who is only a year older than me. He plays football.

My sister Lexi. She's a 16 year old, sophomore in high school. She just broke up with her boyfriend Jackson. Me and Jackson were pretty close buddies. Gaaah I miss him.

And my loving parents who were strict, yet not strict. If you don't get it. They can have fun , but when it's time to get serious, they get serious.

They were all just standing there admiring the house.

"Are we ready?"

"Yup. Let's go!" my dad says and everyone begins to flood out of the house.

We all pile in the car while my sister calls Troop. Oh I forgot to say! But Troop is our dog. He's a golden retriever. They got him before I was born. He's getting old. ):

"Are we all in?"

"Yup."

"To the airport!" dad drives off.

*at the airport*

We arrive at the airport and after all is settled we all wait at the gate with our Starbucks. Guess you could call us addicted.

We all wait for the plane to arrive. My brother playing on his iPad. My sister Instagraming her drink. lol. Mom on her phone. And dad reading the newspaper. I just sat there and thought.

'How will life be over there?'

'Will I fit in?'

'Please be good'

'I want a boyfriend...'

"Gate 16 getting ready to board." The lady on the telecom says.

"Let's go family!"

We all grab our bags and stand in line to get on the plane.

Once we get on I sit by the window with my brother next to me and my sister besides him. My parents sit in the middle section.

'Bye Hawaii' I say as we take off to a new life.
