Chapter 4: "Are you Jamie Oliver or something?!"
Hazel's POV:
I ran as fast as my legs could take me, my breathing getting heavier by the minute as I shuffled around looking for my best friends. I saw them behind some metal bars comforting each other like they had been tortured. I ran to the cell unlocking it with my bobby pin but as soon as the lock unlocked I was pulled backwards from my shirt and pushed into the wall and the person locked the cell back up.
"What do you think you're doing?" Theo, the one with ginger brown hair says.
"This" I manage to choke out and I stab him in the leg with the sharp coral material. I kicked him hard in the ''you know where'. He groans and falls to the floor and the other one comes out and lunges at me holding my hands behind my back. I kick and kick and kick but it's no use because the one who I had slapped before came in clutching a silver metal knife in his right hand. He slowly walked back and forth harassing the knife to make me scared. I was doomed.
I could hear Maddy and Lydia trying to help me. I looked behind my shoulder and they were crying like crazy. I smiled at them weakly as a few of my own tears escaped.
Then, Kai came closer to me with the knife as I was being held, I closed my eyes, waiting patiently for something to happen, but nothing happened. I looked up to see my ex-boyfriend, Jonah, punching the guy with the knife, who was now so shocked, he couldn't even respond.
I noticed the other guy get caught off guard, so I punched him in the face and then I kicked him in the knee and pushed him to the ground. Then I looked back at Madalyn and Lydia and ran over to the cell, unlocked it and dragged them out of this hellhole. Together we quickly ran out of the alleyway out of sight from the three psychopaths. I wonder what they could have been doing that was so serious they had to keep us hostage.

I dragged the girls back to our apartment and instantly grabbed the first aid box to heal our cuts and wounds. I walked back to the living room and notices Madalyn's head on Lydia's lap and it looked like Lydia was comforting her. Maddy HATED violence. In movies, when there a bit of blood, she would cringe so bad. It must have been torturous to see her closest friends hurt.
I walked and sighed loudly catching Lydia's attention and now that I'm close, I can see Maddy has fallen asleep. God! I'm so stupid!
I felt tears blurring my vision, and my legs giving up. I sat on the couch before I collapsed, letting the tears escape. Maddy woke up almost instantly after hearing my tears and both of them came to my side and helped me up. "What have we done so evil, to deserve this!"
I wasn't even talking about what happened now, with the whole Nick, Theo, Kai thing. It's the fact of everything in my life seems to go wrong. My boyfriend, my ex-best friend, my parents....
I was so busy in my thoughts that I didn't even notice the fact that I was lying on the couch, my head rested on a soft pillow. I noticed that Maddy wasn't in the room but before I could ask where she was, she came in the room with a glass of water and pain-killers.
Lydia was busy getting supplies out of the first- aid box preferably to clean the wounds, which was my job if I wasn't being a cry baby. God, I feel so bad now.
"Do you think we should tell the police?" Maddy stuttered, handing me some aspirin and a glass of water.
"I think if they get away with murder, then getting arrested for kidnapping isn't really in the picture". Lydia said walking towards me with some bandages and saline. I sighed knowing that what she was saying was completely true. Plus, we don't even know much about them to help the police find them. I mean, I already forgot their names for God's sake.
