Two years later...
Lia's POV:
I woke up to a human giving me their blood. I was hungry and didn't question it. I ended up killing the random man. I went outside the tomb that I was held in and found out that the world had gone to chaos. People were sick and were turning into zombies or as I like to call them, Walkers. None of them had heartbeats. They would approach me, but would back off as soon as I growled at them. They were confused by me. I was dead, but I still had blood running through my veins. They did try and bite me, but their bites had no effect on me. I tried feeding off them, but they tasted like shit. It wasn't at all satisfying, but it did quench my hunger eventually.
I walked around outside one day and heard something that I hadn't heard in a long while, a heart beat. A weak, but still pumping human heart beat. It was a few miles away so I ran with my tribrid speed to what was once a hospital. The heart beat louder in my ears. There were a group of walkers trying to get in from the back, but they were locked out. The front was cleared of walkers though. I entered inside, the sound of the heart beat drumming loudly in my ears. I finally found the room that the heart beat was coming from. I prepared myself and opened the door.
I entered and saw a frail looking man in his late thirties lying on the bed, but in a coma. I was amazed. The world had gone to shit, but this man was still alive. The only thing that was alive for miles. I was a little hungry, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for him. I looked at a clipboard that was left behind on the table next to him and found out that his name was Rick Grimes. He was a sherriff and was in a coma due to a gunshot. He had been abandoned and had been left to basically die here. I made a choice to save him.
My blood could heal him. I wouldn't be able to force him to drink it, so I found a syringe, filled it with my blood, and plunged it into him. It felt like several hours until I heard him speak. He sounded as if he was talking to someone. It startled me so much that I hid outside of the room. I watched as he slowly, but painfully got up and surveyed his surroundings with confusion. At one point, he fell over and yelled for a nurse to come, but soon figured out that no one was coming. I watched as he stepped out of his room for the first time and saw the destruction of the hospital. I didn't want to give away my identity, so I observed him without him knowing. I did that a lot. Jeez, I sound like a stalker. I stayed nearby to make sure he didn't get into any danger. If he died with my blood in his system, he would turn into a vampire. I had a feeling that he wouldn't like that very much. Anyways, I watched as he finally limped out of the hospital still in a hospital gown and found a bike. It was pretty amusing to see a grown man in a hospital gown ride away on a small bike.
He entered a house that I'm guessing belonged to him before the apocalypse and watched as he called for someone named Lori and Carl. I'm guessing his wife and son. He broke down in tears. I knew I had to help him somehow. I then heard a pair of heartbeats from the house next door. I went outside and saw a black man and his son hiding inside. I knocked on the door and compelled the confused man to let me inside since I needed permission to enter. I came in and fed a little from his blood. Then I compelled him and his son to forget that I was here, but told them to go outside. I heard Rick come out of his house and saw him just sit on the front steps defeated. I could hear a walker coming nearby and saw as Rick, thinking the walker was a normal man, called out to it, making the walker come towards him. The man and his son saw Rick outside and the walker so the kid creeped up behind Rick and hit him with a baseball bat thinking that he was a walker. "Daddy, daddy I got one!" the boy yelled. The man came around and shot the walker in the head.
"Idiot!" I thought to myself. That sound will make more walkers come! I turned back to Rick and watched as the boy and man examined Rick who "Called the boy Carl and then blacked out, letting the man and the boy know that he was human, not a walker. They took him inside and tied him to a bed, just in case he woke up as a walker. I wanted to stay behind and compel the man to let him go, but I started to feel my eyes darken and my face vamp out, the sound of loud heartbeats coming from this house wasn't helping so I left. Hopefully Rick will survive and find his family. I put a spell on the house to make sure no walkers could enter in since that stupid man fired that stupid loud gun and walked away.
After a great distance, I came across a prison that was surrounded by walkers. I entered and growled at them, making them get out of my way. I found a cell block that only had a few walkers. I killed them and wiped some of their blood on the walls near my cell to warn the other walkers away, that way I wouldn't have to deal with the first sight I saw in the morning be one of their ugly faces trying to eat me. I closed my eyes and finally got some rest.
I know this isn't anything new, but I added a few changes here and there. Plus I wanted to introduce the "new" Lia Peters. Picture of the "new" Lia on the side!
