A/N: what do you guys think of me writing a kabby fanfic kind of like pride and prejudice? Like in that time period and I may use elements of pride and prejudice? Please let me know if you guys want that. ❤️

Abby's body slumps to the ground. She hears voices. So many voices. Her vision is blurry. She can't make out where she's at.

The many people crowding her keeps talking until finally all she sees is darkness.

Meanwhile

"I didn't say it wasn't a good idea. I was just saying that maybe-" Callie is telling Marcus before she is interrupted by a member of the guard.

"Sir. Sorry to interrupt but we found doctor Griffin."

Marcus drops the papers he was holding, "where?" He asks.

"In surgery right now. She's pretty banged up. But don't worry. Nyko says she'll be fine." The soldier says.

"Thank you David." Callie says as the soldier leaves the room.

"She's alive." Callie says, "I told you. Come on, let's go see her." Callie says leaving the room till she notices Marcus is not following her. "Come on. She's alive. I thought you would be happy."

"She's in surgery, will be for some time. There's no point in showing up early just to wait outside," Marcus says picking up the papers he dropped.

"What is wrong with you?" Callie asks, "the woman you love could die in surgery and you don't want to show up?"

Marcus stays silent, so Callie continues, "fine, have it your way. I'm going to see my friend." Callie says as she storms out the door.

6 hours later

Abby begins to regain her vision. She sees cabinets and gray metal walls. Just like Arkadia.

Arkadia.

She's in Arkadia. She can't believe it. She's finally home. She's so sore. She's exhausted but she opens her eyelids anyway and sees a woman beside her. She has shoulder length black hair.

Callie

"Callie?" Abby asks, her voice is sore and rough.

"Hey. You shouldn't talk. Nyko says your voice will get better but you need to rest." Callie says.

"Is Marcus okay?" Abby asks.

Callie nods, "he's hurting. But he's fine."

Abby forces herself to sit up. "Ouch. Man I'm so sore."

"Not trying to be pushy, but what happened in the six months you were gone?"

"That doesn't matter. Not right now. We have a more urgent crisis on our hands." Abby says standing up.

"What could be more urgent than your physical and mental state right now?" Callie asks.

"Az-"Abby starts before she is interrupted by someone walking through the door.

"Oh look who decided to show up." Callie says.

"I told you I would be here." Marcus says walking towards the two women. "Abby. Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. As I was saying before Az-" Abby tries to warn them again but Callie interrupts.

"Whatever this issue is, it's not important right now. You are what we need to worry about." Callie says.

"What issue?" Marcus asks.

"Marcus! She's only just got back and incase you haven't noticed, she's not in good shape." Callie says.

"I'm fine! Listen! Please." Abby pauses as she recollects herself, "Azgeda is going to war. Against us."

"They won't get past the border, thanks to your daughter." Marcus says.

"Yes they will. They are going to come and when they do, we're all dead." Abby says.

"And how do you know this?" Marcus questioned her.

"Because I'm the reason they're going to war."

"Oh that makes sense. The great Abigail Griffin screws up again. We had peace. And you just had to go and mess that up." Marcus says.

"Marcus!" Callie yells.

"No. It's okay Callie. He needs to do this. He's been holding it in too long. Just wait outside. Please." Abby says.

"As you wish." Callie says leaving.

After Callie left the room Abby spoke, "go ahead. Say what you have to say, I can take it." Abby says.

"That's just it. There's nothing to say. You left, I moved on. That's it." Marcus says.

"No that's not 'just it,'" Abby says, shaking her head, "you're mad at me. So go ahead do your worst."

"It doesn't matter. This conversation is over," Marcus says.

"This conversation is long from over." Abby says.

"I have nothing to say to you!" Marcus yells.

"Yes you do!" Abby yells.

"No I don't!" Marcus yells back.

"You always have something to say! So say something right now or I swear-" Abby yells in reply.

"You left!"

Silence fills the room and stays there.

"You left me. Your people. Your responsibility. Your life. Your home. You just walked away. So yeah I'm mad and I'm angry. But not because you walked away. I get why you did it, why you felt that you had to." Marcus says as he takes a step closer to her, "I'm mad because I let you go. And you didn't say goodbye. You didn't say when you would be back. You just left. And I am mad cause I thought that maybe you would've stayed and you didn't and it broke my heart."

"I'm sorry. Okay?" Abby says.

"Sorry doesn't fix it. Not this time." Marcus says.

"I know. And I'm sorry. I know it doesn't fix it. But I'm sorry. I thought that I could leave because they had you and that's all they needed. I'm so sorry." Abby says.

"Why? Cause you didn't love me?"

"No that's not it."

"Well. That's what it looks like. I wish I could be James. I wish I was dead and he was alive. So you could be happy."

"You think that I loved James? You think he was the one I loved?" Abby asks him.

"Of course he was. I saw the way he looked at you and the way you looked at him." Marcus says.

"Well, then you clearly didn't notice the way I looked at you." Abby says as she walks out the door.

Marcus closes his eyes and bends his head down.
