Murphy walks into medical. He sighs as he walks through the doors and then stops when he sees Marcus sitting down by Abby, his face rested on the tips of his fingers and his arms rested on his knees.
"Kane." Murphy says walking toward him, "have you been here all night?" Murphy asks.
"Yes. She hasn't woke up. She hasn't even stirred." Marcus says not taking his eyes off of Abby.
"Go get some sleep chancellor." Murphy says motioning to the door.
"No. Not until she wakes up." Marcus says.
"Listen, you are not doing her any good. Please go get some sleep." Murphy says.
"No. I have to make sure she's okay." Marcus says.
"Get of of medical Kane!" Murphy yells. This captures the chancellor's attention, "get out and go get some sleep or I swear I'll sedate you myself." Murphy finishes his threat strong.
Marcus stands up, "fine. A couple hours. If she wakes up-"
"You'll be the first to know." Murphy finishes for him. Marcus continues to stare at him. "Scout's honor." Murphy says throwing up a hand symbol to prove he was being honest.
"Okay. Thank you Murphy." Marcus says leaving medical.
"Sure thing chief," Murphy mumbles to himself.
Ark
Abby walks the corridors of the Ark trying to sort through her life. She doesn't know what's real. This life seems real but she feels like someone keeps calling her name. A distant voice calling her home. Calling her to wake up. Begging her.
Please wake up.
That voice haunts her dreams. Who is it? What do they want? Wake up from what?
Abby's thoughts are interrupted by a body that she slams into. The body turns around, "Abby?" Marcus asks.
"Marcus. Hey. I'm sorry. I was just caught up in my thoughts." Abby says smiling sweetly.
"You're fine." Marcus says , "hey. Can we talk later in private?" He asks.
"Of course." Abby says.
"We'll talk after the council meeting then." Marcus says.
"Sounds like a plan." Abby smiles, "I'll see you then." She says walking off.
A couple hours later
Abby follows Marcus as he leads her to an abandoned room. He locks the door after she walks in.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Abby asks as she sits on a table that was in the room.
"Jake mentioned to me that you have been having some pretty weird dreams, all of which I have been in." Marcus says.
"Yeah. But Jake says they're nothing." Abby's says.
"Well. What does Abby think?" Marcus asks.
"I think they mean something. I don't know what yet, but they have to mean something." Abby says.
"From what I've heard, these dreams feel like a different reality. Tell me about that." Marcus says taking a couple steps toward her.
"What do you want to know?" Abby asks.
"Where's Jake in this reality?" Marcus asks.
Images of Jake being floated flash through her mind.
Her holding Clarke as she breaks down.
"He was floated." Abby says. "He was going to break the law and I turned him in for it because I listened to you. I thought you were right." She continues.
"Was I?" Marcus asks, taking another step toward her.
Abby looks into his brown eyes, "no. None of us were."
"So what part do I play in this reality you've dreamt up?" Marcus asks taking another step toward her. He is inches away from her.
Abby stands up bodies centimeters apart, "I loved you. And I hope to God that you loved me." She says.
"Prove it. Griffin." Marcus says.
Abby leans up and kisses him. He is so caught off guard by it. Marcus begins to kiss her back. He pushes her against the table. "Abby..." Marcus mutters.
"Marcus. I love you." Abby says.
Arkadia
"Anything happen while I was gone?" Marcus asks as he sprints into medical.
"Nope." Murphy says, "well have fun, I'm going to go get some sleep." Murphy says walking out of the room.
Marcus smiles at the boy. He reminds him a bit of himself when he was at that age. Marcus turns his attention to Abby when he hears these words come from her lips.
Marcus. I love you.
