Abby walks slowly over to the two bodies with sheets over them. She pulls the first sheet back, "Callie." She barely gets out, "I'm so sorry..." Abby places the sheet back over her head.
Abby looks at the second sheet, she pulls it back and is shocked to see David Miller. "David." Abby says then turns to Marcus, "what happened while I was gone?"
"While you were gone? David would still be alive if you would've just stayed in camp. But no, Abby has the solution everything. Well guess what, your little boyfriend betrayed you." Marcus says bitterly.
"Well it wouldn't be the first time." Abby says, retiring his sass.
"Excuse me?"
"Everytime I have been right, you have betrayed me." Abby says, yelling.
Murphy walks in the door but sees the two yelling and quickly turns around and walks out.
"Name one time that I have ever betrayed you!" Marcus yells back.
"How about when Tom Matthew came to our camp?" Abby suggests.
"He saved your life!" Marcus yelled.
"And tried to kill me! But you want a different one, how about Jaha! I told you what he was doing was dangerous but you still took his chip!"
"I was trying to fix things!" Marcus yells.
"Well you did a great job!" Abby yells sarcastically.
"Ugh! You're so infuriating!!" Marcus yells.
"You drive me crazy!" Abby yells back.
Marcus takes a step forward and kisses her. Abby's stands there in shock. When they finally pull apart, out of breath, Marcus speaks up, "I-"
"Need time. Me too. I got to go." Abby says, walking out of the room.
"Abby!" Marcus calls but she is gone.
Abby walks down the corridors angrily.
The nerves of that man. He thinks he can just kiss and make up. And how dare he blame me for David's death. They wouldn't have been in that situation if he would have listened to me about Azgeda.
Azgeda.
The one enemy that they don't need on their doorstep. Abby has to find a way to stop this. If she doesn't she's dead. He's dead. They're all dead.
"What am I going to do?" Abby asks herself.
Marcus is sitting in his room all alone when he hears a knock at the door, "come in." He says from his desk.
Bellamy walks in the door. "Sir. Azgeda continues to March towards us. What are we going to do?"
"Fight." Marcus says as he looks at papers.
"Sir. We'll lose." Bellamy says walking towards him.
Marcus looks up at him and smiles. "Have a little hope."
"Hope doesn't win the war. Kane." Bellamy says, "the man who shaped me into the leader I am knew that."
"That man was wrong."
"No this man is wrong. Hope is pointless especially in a war." Bellamy argues.
"Hope is everything."
"So what? We March into battle half-drunk, all high in happy town? Or should I say Abby town?" Bellamy says.
Marcus stand up abruptly, "and what would you have me do? Put guns in the hands of children?"
Bellamy doesn't say anything so he continues, "we can't win. I'm not saying we can."
"So what?"
"We go in, we hope for the best and prepare for the worst."
"And then die."
"Hopefully, a peaceful death."
"They'll be here in two days time." Bellamy says.
"Then let's go drink." Marcus says leading the young boy out of his room and into the dining hall.
