Draco's POV

I figured this will be pretty fun. Hermione will get so frustrated with all the homework I'm going to give them. I had a plan. I wanted her to do poorly in my class. She was perfect in every class when we went to Hogwarts together. Now I'll be able to determine her grades.

The few months passed very quickly and it was time for me to go to Hogwarts. I apparated to Hogsmeade to get to Hogwarts. I went up to my office to get everything set up. It took a while for me to fix everything up, but it was already 10:00. I wanted to get some sleep, but I didn't know where the teachers were supposed to stay. I figured I'd go to Professor Mcgonagall. When I got there, the light was still on, so I knew that she was still up. I knocked on the door and heard a small, "Come in."

"Hi, I was just wondering where I'm supposed to stay while I'm teaching here."

"Oh. Is there not a room in your office?"

"No, there isn't."

"That's okay. You can stay in the Head girl and Head boy dormitory. We've decided that we're only going to have a Head girl this year. From now on, there will only be one Head student. Fortunately, the student this year is a girl, so you can have the Head boy room."

"Okay Thank you so much. Where is it?"

"Oh. To get to the common room from here, you just take the same route as you would to get to your office, but go past it to the second left turn. It's the door on the right."

"Thanks. Goodnight Professor." I started to walk to the dormitory wondering who the Head girl would be. Deep inside, I was hoping it would be Hermione. I didn't know what made me feel this way, but when I'm around her, I just feel.. different.

Hermione's POV

The months flew by until the day we could go back to Hogwarts. I was so excited. Ginny and I went to Kings Cross Station together. Boarding the train brought back a lot of fond memories. I started to miss Harry and Ron a lot more than normally. We couldn't find any empty compartments so we went to the closest one to empty that we could get. Malfoy was the only one in the compartment. Ginny was hesitant to sit there, but she finally agreed.

"Hi Granger, Weasley." We sat down opposite him.

"Hi." I said, Ginny barely even acknowledged that he was there. "I thought that Professors were supposed to be at Hogwarts before the students, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I guess Mcgonagall didn't trust me at Hogwarts without her there. She wanted me to come with her."

"Oh." It was kind of awkward, but I decided I would let Malfoy get in the way of me having a good trip. I pulled out one of my textbooks out.

"Honestly, Hermione. Must you always be reading?"

"I like reading." I replied not looking up from my book.

"I can see that. I also haven't forgotten you being a bookworm as a child."

"Whatever." I spent most of the train ride. We were pretty close to Hogwarts, I was about to go change into my robes when Malfoy just stood up and took his shirt off.

"Bloody Hell, Malfoy! What are you doing?" I exclaimed, a slight blush rising up to my cheeks.

"I'm changing unto my robes, what does it look like I'm doing?" He replied smirking.

"Do you have to do that in here?"

"Oh. I'm sorry. Do you mind?" He asked sarcastically.

"Come on, Ginny. Let's go get our robes on." I said pulling her up with me. We got to the dressing rooms. There was a long line. I decided that we could wait in our compartment until the line died down. We walked back still wearing the same clothes.
