I come home after going to a club with my friends and as  I check the time I mentally curse myself SHIT! It's one o'clock...One hour past my curfew. Mom is going to loose it when she finds out. I try to tiptoe my way into my bedroom but the damn loose floorboard gives me away yet again.

"Loralie? Is that you?" Mom yells.

"Ya, its me." I am in so much crap.

"Where is the world have you been?"

"I was out with a couple of friends that's it."

"You were supposed to be home an hour ago!"

"I'm sorry but they didn't really have clocks were I was ok?"

"And were was that exactly? I have only been worrying were in the name of the lord you could have been i almost called the cops...you are so lucky i did not call the cops, no clocks..impossible that there was no clocks...clocks are everywhere. They are literally everywhere, churches, schools, libraries...sto-"

"THERE WAS NO DAMN CLOCKS BECAUSE I WAS AT A CLUB AND CLUBS DON'T HAVE...clocks."
Fuck, I definitely blew it. Good job Loralie! Seriously, what is wrong with me sometimes?

"You went to a club?! Loralie Bane you better tell me right now why the hell you were thinking of going to the club! Answer me right now!"

"It was just for fun mom. I went with a couple of friends just to relax. Please just calm down."

"Calm down? You want me to calm down when my 16 year old daughter went to a stripper bar and..."

"MOM! STOP! I'm 16 now, I can take responsibilities for my own actions."

"Your own actions? Really? Loralie you could have  gotten drunk and then some guy approach you and then..."

"Mom, chill ok? That didn't happen so just calm..."

"I will not calm down. What would you father say if he saw..."

"WELL MY FATHERS DEAD! Hes dead and I cant do shit about it so just don't drag him into this."

"..."

"You know what? Fuck it! It's almost as if i'm not your fucking daughter. Look at our hair, our eyes, we don't look alike even in the slightest and..."

"You right. Your absolutely right. I think its about time that you know."

"That I know what?"

"Loralie..." She pulls out a picture out of the desk drawer. "I'm not you real mother."
