The Arena

Hey guys sorry for being so slow. Was a little preoccupied with cadets. Anyways heres the chapter enjoy. -Haily😜🌺❤️

We all woke up to the lights flickering. Great! Its morning (sarcasm)! A group of men throw in a box full of the same clothes, hairbrushes and two buckets of water with some rags. We all was ourselves when they leave, brush our hair and put on the black jumpers they gave us. When we were all done, I knocked on the door. The men opened it up and told us to follow them to where we will be able to train. We arrived at the training room and I saw a punching bag, treadmills, weights, archery targets, a fire pit and towels.
We all separate to go to what we wanted. I went to the punching bag, Melody & Jade went to the treadmills, Isabella & Brianna went to the archery and Hannah went to the fire pit. I put tape on my knuckles and got straight to punching the bag. Sweat is dripping off me after 20 minutes of punching and kicking. I'm that time I broke four bags...oops. So before I broke another one I moved onto the weights. 10 minutes later I went on a treadmill to run because I knew I would be doing a lot of running. When I was tired I changed into my wolf and ran some more. When Nina and I were both tired I walked over to the corner of the room the get a towel. I wipe the build up of sweat and walked over to Hannah. She's trying to make a fire. She moved her hands down quickly on a stick while rubbing them together. Smoke rises up and then a red glow comes from the stick. She slides a dry leaf under them embers and lightly blows on them making the leaf catch on fire. She then places the leaf on a pile a twigs and when the fire starts she looks up at me with a smile. I smile back and give her a thumbs up. I walk up to the archery section and pick up a bow with 3 arrows. I shoot all 3 and they all hit the bulls-eye. A man walks in to the training room and blows a whistle.

"Ok ladies...times up. Your going to go hit the showers now and then you change into another jumper that has your name tagged to it. That jumper I made to go into the arena and it will not rip when you shift. You will have 45 minutes to do all that. After everything, you will be leaded to the arena and the games will begin." He says to all of us.

My heart speeds up and my eyes widen. SHIT. I walk over to Hannah and take her hand. We all walk to the individual showers and wash ourselves. When we all dry ourselves off we all put on the matching jumpers that were left for us with out name pinned to it. Our 45 minutes are over and then man comes back. Good thing we weren't naked. He nods his head towards the door telling us its time to leave. I grab Hannahs hand again and we all walk out of the shower room. We go down to the long hallways until we come up to a door that is marked EXIT. He pushes the door and warm sunlight greets our faces. A breeze makes my blond hair flow and my eyes close in delight. God I've missed the sun. We walk up to a black van and get into the back. There were no seats so we huddle on the floor. It was a pretty bumpy ride but after about 10 minutes the van came to a stop. We heard doors slam shut and the back doors to the van open. We all step out and I take in our surroundings. We see a huge building covered in black bricks. We walk through a metal door to go inside and there is a sign that says <boys 👈🏻.  Girls 👉🏻>.  So we all wall right and there are little packs with our names in them. This is the waiting room for the games. Hannah squeezes my hand a little tighter. I sit on a chair and knelt in front of her so that I can talk to her at the same height.

"Hannah listen to me." I say looking into her eyes.
"What we will do is at the sound of the gunfire we will run a go straight into hiding. We will not stop. If you are too tired tell me, I will shift and you can climb on my back, we will try to find someplace where they cannot track our scent. I wont let anything happen to you and will keep you with me at all times. I promise."

She looked up at me with her tear filled smile and nodded. She leaned forward and gave me a hug while squeezing me. I hug and squeeze her back. We are all waiting when we hear a whole bunch of boy voices on the other side of the wall. The boys are next to us.

"May all the girls come out the back door of the waiting room that leads to the arena and wait in a line please." The intercom says.

We all hear a whole bunch of hoots and hollers coming from the boys on the other side. I roll my eyes and follow the girls to the back door of the room that leads to arena. Once we get into the arena we see a white line painted on the grass as we line up and all stand on it. I kneel down to Hannah who is looking a little freaked out.

"Ok Hannah. Its time. Your going to be fine. Do you remember what I told you?" I ask her as the intercom is counting down.

I take my starting position, ready to run. So does Hannah.

I look in front of me, forest and rivers. Look for a waterfall with a hidden cave.

*BAM!!!*
The gun goes off into the air, we all separate and run. Hannah runs beside me with her eyes determined. We follow the river flow hoping to find a waterfall with a hidden cave.
"We can do it!" Nina says 
I sure as hell hope so.
