Ahhhhh! Oh no, I'm sorry it's been a little bit since I updated. Luckily, I managed to write out a longer chapter this time to pay up for my crimes of unsuccessful posting. Enjoy!^^

Music was blaring, lights were flashing, and people were dancing.

"Aye!" Daryl yelled over the commotion. Rick continued a conversation with Glenn. Daryl stepped closer and prodded Rick on the shoulder. Rick still didn't seem to notice the man standing behind him.

"Seriously?" Daryl muttered under his breath. At that same moment, Rick turned around. His eyes full of curiosity.

Daryl clenched his fist, hesitating but decided to speak up. He leaned in close. His warm breath hot on Rick's ear.

"I need to talk to ya." Rick didn't reply. Instead he politely waved his hand in dismissal, letting Daryl know that something important was being discussed and that now was not the time.

Daryl's shoulders slumped when Rick turned back to Glenn to let him continue his chatter.

Daryl gripped Rick's shoulder and turned him around so that he could see how frustrated he was feeling.

"I meant NOW."

Glenn looked confused but left anyways. Daryl motioned for the doors that led to the main hall where thay could have some peace and quiet.

Rick stood still till Daryl put his hand on his friend's back to guide him through all of the happy and sweaty people.

This felt weird in some kind of way. Why did it seem so hard to touch Rick? Not in a bad way of course but a "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.

Entering the hallways, the two men's steps were echoing wall to wall. Finally, it was interrupted by silence.

While Daryl was face to face with Rick, he couldn't help but to notice that his heart started to skip a beat.

"So what is it?" Rick asked, his light blue eyes reflected a pool of questions.

"Uh...erm." Daryl stared straight down, his hands in his pockets.

"I, uh..."- He stuttered. He paused for a moment and decided it was just best to walk away.

"Never mind." He sighed leaving Rick in the now empty hallway. Daryl walked back into the dance hall. He stood there for a moment reviewing over what he had just done.

"God dammit. Ya blew it. Good fucking job."
He stood there for a moment with the most depressed expression.

"Daryl, are you okay?"
Daryl nodded.

"Yeah. M' fine."
Carol took a moment to answer.
"That's a lie." She finally answered.

Daryl looked at his friend and saw great disbelief in her body language.

"I saw you and Rick. You went In the hallway then you immediately raced out. So don't tell me nothing's wrong. Remeber, you can always talk to me about it."

The last sentence that came out of Carol's mouth seemed to bring back a memory...

Flashback---
Daryl pulled an arrow out of a walker's thin decayed skull.
"Another good fuckin' day." Daryl muttered as he hiked down the trail.

It was no lie that Daryl was stressed. It had been a long week. Lots of deaths, lots of starvation, and of course, lots of walkers. Picking his way through another trail, Daryl stopped to look at the scenery.

The thick green grass and tall towering trees seemed to paint a beautiful picture- minus another Waller that stumbled out from behind one of the trees.
Sighing, Daryl took out his crossbow and aimed, ready to kill the ugly creature. He was ready to pull the trigger till he heard a gunshot and the walker dropped dead completely.
