"You guys should've listened to me," Sawyer said in a hushed voice as she joined the twins in the corner of the Common Room.

"If you had told us that we'd get cheated  by this--" Fred's voice grew louder as he was about to cuss the life out of Ludo Bagman, and George shushed him. "This lowlife scum," he chose instead, much more quietly, "we'd stay out of bets."

"I didn't know that," she frowned. "I see death, not bets. It was a simple matter of looking at the stars, reading in coffee, and crystal ball."

"Simple," George repeated incredoulsely.

"Why didn't you want us betting then?" she looked between them, surprised.

"Isn't it obvious?" she wondered. "You're still minors! And betting's bad."

The twins exchanged a look, a ghost of a smile on their faces. They shook their heads, looking slightly cheered up.

"You're real something, Sawyer."

"Well, I'll be in your room with Lee," she informed, standing up. "Don't stay up late, or I might have to give you a detention," she joked, starting to climb up the stairs to the boys' dormitories. "Good night!" she called to the few that were still in the Common Room, rushing upstairs.

"Who in their right mind would let Sawyer be a Prefect?" Fred wondered once more. "Girl's a born trouble-maker, I swear."

"--didn't imagine your scar hurting and you know it."

"So what?" said Harry. "He's not going back to Azkaban because of me."

"Drop it," said Ron sharply to Hermione as she opened her mouth to argue some more, and for once, Hermione heeded him, and fell silent.

"You talking 'bout my dad?" Sawyer wondered, yawning shamelessly in Harry's face.

"Didn't have a great night?"

"Didn't have a night," she replied to Hermione's questions. "The twins and Lee--" she fell silent, not wanting to let anyone know about the pranks they've been attempting to carry out with the help of Peeves. "Let's say we were busy until a few minutes ago. But you were saying?" she asked Harry.

"About what?"

"About my dad," she replied rather snappily, "He's coming back?"

Nodding silently, Sawyer frowned, looking deep in thoughts.

"And your scar's been hurting?"

"Just once!" he announced hurriedly. "I mean, Voldemort's not back or anything, so--"

"So it's just signs that are being put together constantly and no one puts together," she waved off, and the trio exchanged a look. The words were far too similat to what Sirius has told them.

"Have you spoken to your dad?" Hermione asked in a hushed whisper, making Sawyer look at her.

"Not since I've seen him at the summer, no," she replied in confusion. "Why?"

The three exchanged an uneasy look, and suddenly Harry felt much worse for the letter he's sent to Sirius that morning.

If even Sawyer saw the signs, could it be that there was really something?

With Fred and George being more and more angry with Bagman, and having them keeping the secret from Lee, they left Sawyer no choice but to abandon them whenever  they'd speak in hushed voices, and sit by Lee, who was a much better company these days.
