Chapter 19

Sehun and Daehyun snuck glances at each other as they waited for Kai and Mai to get back.

The kind of glances which they were not trying to get caught as they looked at each other.

Daehyun stared at Sehun, squinting his eyes and licking his lips as he wandered about his relationship with Mai.

Sehun noticed, and locked eyes with Daehyun.

''Yah- quit staring at me like that. It's weird.''

Daehyun blinked his eyes and acted in denial. ''Stop staring? yah you're the one staring.''

They both looked into different directions.

''You think you're amazing now, huh hyung?'' Sehun paused for a second and asked. ''Now that you're a celebrity.''

''Actually, I thought I haven't changed. I'm still that boy from 18 years ago. And you, Sehun. Why are you here? Does Mai remember you?'' He replied, referring to his bullying.

Sehun stared intently at his food and looked up at Daehyun. ''I.. I'm not like that. Anymore.''

''Whether you are the same person or not, you still made her cry.'' Daehyun crossed his arms. ''Why have you attempt to be her friend now? She will still think of you as the same horrible boy from-''

Sehun angrily stood up, irritated at his comment.
''Yah-!'' He yelled, but stopped as he saw Kai walking towards the exit.

''Eodika hyung?'' Sehun stares.

Daehyun also turns to get a glance.

Kai pauses to look at Sehun, but then opens the door and exits the house.

Sehun gave Daehyun a dirty look before running off to follow Kai, just to make sure he was alright.

As both Sehun and Kai left, Mai walks in the dining room to find only Daehyun sitting there.

Her heart pounds as she stares at him, staring back at her.

She thought of how they were currently pretending to be dating, and how he has been her bias.

Mai tried to break the nervous eye contact and thought of saying something.

''Ah... Sehun left also?''

Daehyun nodded and took a bite out of the burger. ''You should eat too,''

Mai nods and sits down.

For five minutes, they ate in silence.

Daehyun tried his best to not make any bad impressions, minding the awkward silence.

Mai was too nervous to even eat right. Her hands were shaky and she couldn't stop looking at him.

Lucky for them, the silence broke.

The front door opens and Hoya comes in. He walks up to them and grins.

''Yah, what is he doing here? Is he your boyfriend?'' Hoya asks in English so that Daehyun would understand less.

Mai rolled her eyes.

''Ah, who made these!?'' He points to the burgers that Kai and Sehun haven't ate and grabs them. ''Aaaah I'm starving.''

Hoya sat down on one of the empty seats and begins eating.

Daehyun politely stood up. ''Thank you for the food.. I will see you in the morning.'' he looks at Mai as she nodded.

Daehyun then leaves.

''So I heard Dad and Jae Hee left for Busan.'' Hoya licked his fingers.

Mai sighed. ''Yeah and Sehun is staying with us.''

''Sehun? His son?''

''Yeahhh... the cashier from the cafe.''

''Ooh, right. Well, I'm going to stay the night at the dorms, gaseyo.''

Hoya wiped his mouth with a napkin and left the home.

Mai thought she should also stay at the dorm and follow the school rules.

She changes into proper clothes then calls for a taxi to drop her off at the school.

Mai waits alone outside for the taxi to come.

It seemed really late, and that she should be sleeping at this time.

The moon was out, and so were the stars. it was a beautiful night.

''Aissh where is that taxi?'' Mai asks herself, staring at the phone.

Without any notice, a she feels a cloth tied around her eyes and numerous hands grabbing her.

''Yah! what are you doing??'' she screams as the unknown hands attempt to pick her up.

She struggled as hard as he could but their grips were too strong for her.

Mai was afraid.

She tried to scream but it seemed like nobody could hear her.

They covered her eyes, tied her arms, and placed her in a car.
