Daehyun's POV

(Getting Ready for Dinner)

''Yah~what's the matter? You look like you just saw a ghost,'' Bang says. ''Wipe that expression off, we have to go to dinner.''

I nodded and took one last glance in the mirror. ''Aiyo, do I look fine?''

''Mm, now go pick up your friend, quickly.''

Kim walks in and straightens his shirt. ''Has anybody seen maknae? He is attending right?''

''He hasn't replied to his texts,'' Yoo claimed. ''Jung, ask Mai about it,''

Mai... Was so startled when her towel fell, she must be really embarrassed. Bringing it up would be the worst, so I should pretend that didn't happen ai?

I told her that I didn't see anything.. I lied, and she knew that. What if she thinks I'm a pervert? Gah! Why am I making this a big deal?

''Ah- Daehyun hyung, Mai is coming?'' Moon wakes me up from my thoughts.

''Unh ne'' I grabbed my keys and headed to the car.

Mai. She was wearing a beautiful summer dress with cherry blossom petals on it. Her hair was perfectly ironed, and her make up was stunning. She must have been preparing.

I took a deep breath and turned towards her. She has been keeping her head down.

''Jung a, you promise?''

''Mm?''

''That...you didn't see anything.''

''Ahh, of course!'' I feel so guilty about lying to her.

She looked up at me and gave a friendly smile.

''They are waiting, let's go to dinner now?''

''Oppa, about that,''

''Aa?''

''Oppa??? Gahh sorry! I didn't mean to call you that!'' She shook her head and nervously bit her lip. ''I didn't call you that- okay?''

I wouldn't take my eyes off of her. She called me oppa, but it was by accident. It didn't mean anything.. Get a hold of yourself Jung Daehyun. ''Okay,''

''About the dinner,'' she continued. ''I'm sorry, but I can't go...''

''What?? But you are dressed! Why can't-''

''I'm really sorry. I have a, plans....'' Mai shot me another smile and started to walk away. ''Next time, See you tomorrow Jung?''

''Urr arasso,''

I was for some reason upset, I was really looking forward to it.

I disappointedly turned around and headed back to my home.

Mai's POV

(On the Phone with Mother)

''Mai ah, you didn't forget that we are having dinner with Jae Hee tonight?''

''Urmm no umma,'' I lied.

''Good. We will pick you up, get ready. His son is coming also,''

*sigh*

Jae Hee was a friend of my father's. They used to work under the same department when I was just a toddler, until we moved to America. They still have been close friends.

He was also one of the reasons why we moved here.

I finished ironing the last strand of hair and glared in the mirror. Aghk, I am suppose to go to dinner with Daehyun. How could I forget that we had family plans already?
