(Killian's POV)

I roam through the halls trying to find Emma. I can't even describe how much I want to prove my father wrong. I know that Emma could be the best queen this kingdom has ever seen. That is, if she would want this life. With me.

I turn a corner and I see Regina and Zelena walking together.

"You two haven't seen Emma, have you?" I ask as I approach them.

"As a matter of fact," Regina says. "We just saw her. She went back into her room after you left and she dismissed us. I'm sure she would like to see you."

"Thank you. Oh and I am fairly certain that Robin will be down near the gardens." She bows her head and I make my way to Emma's room. As soon as I reach her door, my nerves build up. Did she dismiss Regina and Zelena because she was disappointed that I had left and she wanted to be alone? Would she really want to see me? I slowly start to twist the handle and when I do I see Emma leaning on the balcony railing. The sun beats down on her golden hair and her blue dress, giving her a heavenly aura. I can't believe she might have feelings for me. I don't know what I ever did to be so lucky. The door quietly opens further and she still hasn't noticed that I am here. I slowly knock on the door and say. "Princess?"

She turns to face me. She lets out a small smile. So she is happy to see me, right? "You shouldn't call me that. I am not a princess. Gods! I am nothing near one!" She walks closer to me.

Well, not yet. I think to myself. I don't know how she feels so I feel like I shouldn't scare her away like that.

"That is sort of why I'm here..." I scratch behind my head. I lead her over to the bed so we can sit while I convey this news to her. "Are you willing to give us a chance, love?" I grab her hands in mine.

She pauses and looks at me while she does. "I think I am." Whether or not that is true, I don't know but at least she said yes.

"Okay, well, as you may have guessed, a relationship with me comes with consequences. You would have to learn how to rule a kingdom. I know that it is a heavy load to bear."

She lets out a long breath. "Yeah, it really is."

"Well I think you could be an amazing queen." I shake my head and smile. "No! I know that you will be an amazing queen." My face falls a little. "Unfortunately, my father doesn't share the same opinion. He doesn't think you are fit for the title."

Her head drops but I lift her chin with my finger. "He is wrong Emma. You have so much potential. I know you have the determination to show him wrong. With enough practice, you could be the best queen this kingdom or any kingdom has ever seen."

Emma looks at me before springing up from the bed. "Well I better get a start on it! When can we start?"

I grin. Never would I ever have thought that she would ever been that eager to do this. "Well love, my father said he wanted to see you at dinner tonight so when need to start right away. Follow me love." I grab her hand and lead her to my room through the adjoining door.

Emma sighs. "So this is where that door leads. Good to know." I look back at her and she has a smirk on her face.

I pull her to my bed. She sits at the end of it and I stand in front of her. "So what do you know about being a princess?"

She shrugs. "Not much. Nothing at all really."

"Well let's get to it then. A princess is somebody who can always look calm in times of despair. You need to have all of your emotions in check to ensure that your people can have hope that everything is okay. We can cover the politics of the jobs another day but for today the only people you have to impress is my family."
