(Emma's POV)
My eyes widen. He loves me? Not just because he wants to potentially marry me but he really loves me?
What do I do?
My arms are pressed up against his chest and our faces are inches apart. I do the only thing my body can think of. I lean my face closer to his and capture his lips with mine.
His words of devotion.
The proximity of our bodies.
The romantic setting.
Our dance. There wasn't a bad thing to tell my body not to do it.
I snake my hands around his neck and pull him a little closer. His arms wrap around me. The kiss starts to grow very passionate but I pull away before it can go any farther. He looks into my eyes and smiles. I move closer to him and our foreheads touch.
"I hope you can understand that I don't feel comfortable saying that yet?" I whisper.
"I understand Emma. You can take as much time as you need." He shuts his eyes. He starts swaying and I join him. Just the two of us. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
It seems like hours until we stop and decide to head upstairs. We gather our things and make our way up. Once we reach Killian's bedroom door, we go inside.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but I really don't want to take this dress off!" He chuckles. I twist my hips and make the skirt fly outwards. I smile.
"As much as I love that dress on you, we sort of have to go to bed." He comes over to the fireplace near the spot where I am standing.
"Can't I keep it on a little longer?" I ask as he grabs my hand. He thinks for a moment.
"How about I get a fire going and we can sit near it before bed?" He suggests.
"Sounds perfect." I smile before leaving to wash my face. I wet a cloth and wipe off the makeup. I also let my hair loose and give my head a little shake. Perfect. Nice and comfy. I go back into Killian's room and he is grabbing some of the pillows from his bed. He sets them down against the lounge that sits in front of the fire. I walk over to him and we sit on the blanket he set up. My skirt covers his legs when I sit beside him.
"You look really good in blue Killian." I say as I lay on his chest.
"Thank you love. You look drop dead gorgeous in that dress." I smile.
"Tonight was amazing Killian. Thank you."
"Anything for you." He kisses my head. "Love, would you mind if I ran my fingers through your hair?"
I laugh. "Not at all." He starts entangling his fingers in my hair. It feels so good. Almost too good. I let out a small moan.
He chuckles. I blush heavily. He continues to brush through my hair. "Love, I think I should do your hair tomorrow. I think I might be good at it." I let out a really loud laugh. "Why are you laughing?"
"Killian have you ever done anything with a woman's head of hair in your lifetime?"
"No but I certainty wouldn't mind doing this all morning."
I shrug. "I'll think about it. But just remember we also have guests coming tomorrow." I point my finger up at him. "But if you do, I get to help you get ready."
I look up at him and he shakes his head. "Not fair, you get to do everything and all I can do is your hair. Not a chance. I am getting you ready tomorrow and that's it."
"Ok then." Hopefully he isn't half bad at doing hair and makeup.
"I won't let you down." He kisses my head again.
