(Emma's POV)

I ride on until I reach a dark and creepy castle. The ring is glowing brightly so I can't be too far off. I dismount the horse and tie it to a tree. My hand stays on the hilt of my sword. I can't take any chances.

Everything is frozen still. I suppose my little outburst was a bit more drastic than I thought. I can't focus on that right now. I need to find Killian.

Upon entering the castle, I get shivers up my spine. My nerves are spiking but I can't turn back. I have to find him.

I find no need to use the ring anymore. I know where he is. I can feel him. More importantly I can feel his pain. My instinct leads me down to the dungeons. They turn almost cave like, the rock walls are damp giving of a cold chill. There a many twists and turns and with every step I get closer to Killian. I can just feel it.

Over the years I had seen my share of blood and gore. Mostly from myself. It didn't affect me after a while. But nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to see.

Killian was strung up against the wall. His whole body was covered in his own blood. His shirt had been ripped to shreds and was laying on the rocky floor of the dungeon. He had large gashes in his chest, arms and I assume his back. A small gash also adorns his cheek. Whereas the rest of his face is swollen and bloody. Bruises cover almost every inch of his skin. The one thing I take much notice to is his lack of a left hand. That might explain my pain last night.

"Killian." I rush up to him and hold his face in my hands. When I do, he moves in the slightest. My touch is working. Now kiss him. "I love you!" I press my lips onto his and as he regains more motion of his body, he kisses back with as much strength as he can. I large gust of wind burst from us and I assume everything is back to normal now.

"Emma?" Killian grunts. "I knew you would figure it out. That's my girl." He smiles and he still looks handsome.

"I know you Killian. Nobody could replace you, I can assure you of that. Now lets get you out of here." I am about to raise my hands to attempt to use my 'ability' to set him free when a voice stops me.

"Not so fast." Cora walks towards us. "Let me make myself clear, neither of you are making it out of here alive." She raises her hand and I feel a strange force tightening against my throat. I start to gasp for air.

"No, you are wrong." I pull the sword from my hip and strike her. She blocks me with her magic. With one swipe of her hand, the sword flies out of my hands.

"You are going to need to try much harder than that if you want to beat me!" She continues her work on slowly killing me. But there is one thing she doesn't know. I can push back just as hard. I slowly raise my hand and conjure up enough strength to hit her with some magic

She gasps. "Y-you! How?!"

"That's true love bitch!" I continue to strike her and I can tell she is getting overwhelmed. I see her process something before raising her hand towards Killian. He starts to yell in agony. I let my guard down for one second while she shoves her hand in my chest.

"You foolish girl! Don't you know; love is weakness!" She starts to try and pull my heart out but it won't budge. I grunt in pain with every tug. The realization hits me.

"No! It's strength!" My body works on its own and a large beam of light emits from it, pushing Cora away. I stand there, a little too shocked to process it all.

"You did it Swan." Killian croaks. He starts coughing and I run to his aid. My magic does it's work and releases his shackles. His body falls into my arms and we both fall to the floor as a result. "I see you still can't help but fall for me love." He smirks before I help him sit up.
