~ And So She Dreamed ~ Part Eight!

“How is it?” Arthur asks with a smile as he pops a chip (French fry XD) into his mouth, chuckling at Annabelle who seemed to be enjoying it. She kept the fork in her mouth, staring at the food with a dreamy look, “It’s… So good,” She says quietly and digs in.

Alfred snickers, “Awe it’s not as good as American food!” Annabelle pauses and looks at him, “Not in a lifetime! I would dream that I could back to my mother’s cooking the entire time!” She protests, making Alfred sulk and Arthur grin.

“Well its good you like it,” Mattie says in his soft voice, making Annabelle smile. She chose to sit next to him since everyone else didn’t even notice him. “It’s delicious!” She says, grinning at Mattie who smiles.

Alfred blinks, tilting his head a bit, sitting across from her, “Who are you grinning at?” Annabelle sighs and sits her fork down, reaching over and slipping Mattie’s glasses off and setting them on the table. She picks up her fork again, “Mattie.” She says simply and bites down on a piece on her fork.

Mattie rubs his eyes from the sudden change in vision. Alfred seems shocked, “When did you get here, bro?!” Mattie sighs and continues eating, munching on a piece of bacon. “I’ve been here,” He mumbles slightly, not looking up. Annabelle smile softly and pats his back.

~Time skip to back at the dorms! ~

Annabelle rubs her eyes in an irritated way. She groans and slips out of bed, setting down her book. Arthur glances up slightly and blinks, “Are you alright?”

“Just peachy,” Annabelle mutters, searching through her nightstand drawer. She pulls out a little case and opens it. Her eyes widen and she curses, “Bloody hell!” She rushes to the bathroom and switches on the light. Arthur sits up and blinks, getting up and slowly walking to the bathroom, “Are you sure?”

She was taking a contact out of her eye, growling slightly under her breath, “I’m out of contacts,” She mutters, slipping out the left contact and putting it in the case. She blinks and rubs her eyes, “I have really bad vision and glasses just don’t look good on me.” She sighs and walks past him, going to her bag.

Arthur frowns, “I’m sure you look just fine,” He says, following her. She pulls a glasses case out of her bag and sighs, slipping a pair of black-rimmed glasses. They fit on her face perfectly, the black rim covering all of the glass.

Arthur smiles gently, “You look absolutely fine, love.” She blushes and smiles shyly, “Th-thanks,” She says quietly and grabs her contacts case, setting it on the nightstand.

“Looks like I’m going to have a bloody migraine tomorrow, I always get like that when switching to these things.” She mutters sitting back down. Jackie was curled up on the bed, fast asleep. (Sorry I keep forgetting her! =-=)

Arthur smiles softly, sitting down on his own bed, “I have some pills if you like, I always have migraines.” He says, starting to pull his covers off gently so he could lay down. He had changed while Annabelle took a shower (Enter ‘Awkward Moment’ here XD)

He wore matching bottoms and top, both a light blue plaid. She had changed into some really soft pajama pants and a long sleeve shirt. She sighs gently and lays under covers, snuggling into them.

Arthur reaches over and shuts off his lamp, making the room dark, “We should get some sleep,” He mutters, laying back into his covers. Annabelle was silent for a second.

Arthur opens one eye and raises an eyebrow, “Are you already sleeping?” “N-no,” She replies quietly, “I-I… I’m afraid of the dark,” She whispers, trembling. Arthur frowns and sits up, “Oh I’m sorry,” He whispers and stands up, walking over. He sits on her bed gently, “It’s okay, if we need some light I can put some on for you,” He says, rubbing her arm gently with his thumb. She looks up to him, slipping off her glasses, “N-no, I-I don’t want to disturb the way you sleep.”
