“Annabelle,” Someone whispers in her ear, making her snuggle against the warmth the felt in her deep sleep. “Annabelle,” It repeats. Annabelle groans and clutches onto the cloth, mumbling sleepily under her breath, “I’m not getting up.”
“At least let me get up?” The tired voice asks, brushing her hair back gently with their hand. Annabelle furrows her eyebrows and blinks her eyes, making them open. She looks up to the owner of the voice and deep blush fills her cheeks. England smiles down to her, holding her close.
Annabelle blushes viciously, a tired, shy smile pulling at her lips. He chuckles quietly, “Are you feeling better, love?” He asks softly, still coming through her still soft hair. “You fell asleep while we were watching a movie,” he explains quietly then jerks his head to the two boys, one in the bed, sleeping soundly, the other sprawled out on the floor.
Annabelle looks down, snuggling up to him and clutching onto his shirt, “I’m really scared,” She whispers, tears pricking at her eyes, “W-what if he finds me?” England quickly shushes her comfortingly, “Don’t worry… We won’t let that happen, nobody will. You may not have met everyone but they really care about you,” He whispers.
Annabelle sniffles gently, snuggling her face into his chest. She lets out a soft whimper, “I don’t want anyone getting hurt,” Her voice squeaks slightly. England brushes the back of her head, “Don’t worry,” He whispers, “I promise, no one will get hurt… It’ll all be fine…”
She hears a snort of sleep, making her look back. America, who was lying on the floor, was sitting up, “Huh? What?” He asks tiredly, blinking slowly. England rolls his eyes and smiles. Annabelle sniffles, sitting up, “S-sorry, did I wake you?”
America looks to her and blinks, then looks kind of sad, “No of course not,” He slurs, knuckling his eyes sleepily, “Are you feeling better?”
“Kind of,” She whispers, not wanting to wake Canada. She blinks, furrowing her eyebrows, “I have a question,” She continues to whisper. England sits up as America nods to her, glancing to him. “Since you guys are countries, does that make you as old as the countries?”
They both slowly nod, staring at her. She glances to both of them and looks down, “I’ve known America since I was really little, I’ve been getting lots and lots of memories lately,” She whispers. She furrows her eyebrows, “Including one about… My split personality.” They both blink at her, “Split personality?”
She winces then hesitantly nods, gripping her fist a bit, “I have split personalities sometimes… Well, it’s more like split emotions. Angry, Depressed… Killer,” She coldly whispers, shivering. Both of their eyes widen, “What?!” They shout out loud, making Canada quickly sit up, startled. They all look to him quickly.
He looks to them with a tired, slightly surprised look, “Wh-what’s going on?!” He asks, his eyes wide. America furrows his eyebrows, “Sorry bro, just listen. Annabelle said she had multiple… Well like severe emotions?” He looks back to Annabelle for the approval. She merely nods, letting out a soft sigh.
“Killer isn’t really the way to say it. But that dream, memory thing I had the other night… My eyes were crimson… And America was my friend, and I was hurting him…” She whispers, staring to the ground now. Her expression saddens, “And there was blood on me… On my knife,” Her eyes slowly widen, “On my cheek, coming out of a scratch on my face. Wearing the same outfit that I remember when my parents and I got into a car wreck, the same scar, the same day,” Her words quicken, her eyes wide and scared.
They stare at her, England grabbing onto her shoulders as she rambles on, “Annabelle, calm down.” She keeps rambling, her breath quickening. He quickly turns her around to look at him.
