Yuri's P.O.V

I saw a faint look of betrayal in his eyes as he dropped his hand, shaking slightly. "Yuri, I can't. I don't want to visit those memories ever again, it hurts too much." His voice started wavering making my heart break. "I know, I know it hurts, but it's hurting Yurio now too. If you share that with him, he might open up more- or even feel a little more comfortable about the situati-" "No! That's not how your thought process works after something like that Yuri. I know that Yurio will shut down if I tell him, and I might too. I don't want to do that to you two!" I lowered my gaze. "I'm sorry, I just don't know what to do." Victor sighed and hugged me, "I don't know either." Pulling out of the hug, I take my phone out to check the time. It's 11:23pm. "Victor, it's getting late." He nodded and looked at Yurio over his shoulder. "Can we take Yurio with us? You know, so that if he has another nightmare we'll be right there." He said still looking at Yurio. "Yeah," Victor turned to me and smiled before walking towards Yurio and picking him up bridal style. I sighed and lead the way to our room, Makkachin following close behind.

When we made it to our bed, Victor placed Yurio down one the bed. We both lie on either side of him in a protective manner and face each other. Even though we were looking each other in the eyes, Victor's eyes seemed kinda glossed over and distant. I sighed sadly, reaching my hand up to meet his face. My thumb glides gently across his check, his eyes closing slowly. Soon enough his breath begins to level out into soft puffs of air, signaling that Victor had fallen asleep. I look down at Yurio. His face was contorted to a look of pain and sadness, pain because of what he's going through, and sadness because he feels like he's tearing our small family apart. I sigh once again, just before closing my eyes, and falling into my own deep sleep.

Victor's P.O.V

What is this odd feeling? I feel cold and uncomfortable, almost as if I'm on the floor. I feel my surroundings a little more and figure out that I am indeed on the floor, but when I open my eyes it's pitch black. I sit up, panic instantly taking me over as I try to figure out where I am. Soon the echoing of someone's footsteps comes into hearing range and I'm struck with fear. I hurriedly back away from the sound as far as possible, my back hitting what is most likely to be a wall. I wait until the footsteps stop and hold my breath. The sound of a rusted metal latch is almost as deafening as my heartbeat which in quickly increasing. The door finally opens to reveal the silhouette of a man whom I've always feared and hated. Now, I'm within his reach again. Held captive against my will. The man began to chuckle. "Oh, Vitya," I start shaking with fear. Why am I here? I thought I escaped this place years ago, when I met Yuri. Why am I still here!? "Don't you want to see your family, Vitya?" My eyes widen, "No. No, you can't have them!" I screamed at him, gritting my teeth in both anger and sadness. Yakov reached around the corner, dragging too people into view. It only took a second for me to realize who they were. "Yuri, Yurio!" Yakov threw them into the room on the cold hard ground with a cruel chuckle, both of them making a pained sound when they fall. A helpless sound escapes my lips as I try to crawl to them. I make it to Yuri, cradling his bruised and bloodied face in my hands. I see Yurio out of the corner of my eye trying to sit up, only to fall back down making a grunt. Tears start to form in my eyes as I look towards a laughing Yakov, who his now in the process of shutting the big metal door. "You bastard!" I screamed at him, his laughter only growing. "Victor," I looked down at Yuri, even though I couldn't see anything. "Yuri." I whined and he spoke again. "Victor, wake up." I furrowed my brows in confusion, "What?" What does he mean wake up? "Dad, you need to wake up, c'mon." I turned my head to Yurio. "What do you mean? I am awake!" I screamed. "Please Victor, you're scaring me." Suddenly, everything around me started to swirl away in one big blur.
