she didn't know anything until she knew him. she was lost, afraid, always doubtful and paranoid. to be truthful, she still is; but he subdued her worries.

she saw stars in his eyes, galaxies in his hands. she saw universe after universe in him, but could he be bothered to see even a shred of that in her?

she felt sparks in his touch, heard every beautiful sound you could imagine just in the way he laughed. she saw infinity in his smile.

but what did 'universe' mean to him? it meant close to nothing. he imagined the whole world being limited to just their small, smokey town.

he didn't imagine a world outside of their home; he couldn't. when she said 'universe,' he said 'city.' he had infinite significance to the girl with insecurities.
