because for you i'd put aside the things i hate

each of my mornings and all of my nights
but for you, what i actually do
is wait up for your text

every day i hover by the phone
waiting to hear from you,
perhaps because i'm alone
but i beg my mind to give you a break
because you're all i think about
even when i need to rest
your memory is always around
in my dreams
as i sleep
because, it's true
there's not a thing i wouldn't do
