human nature
-
a ladybug and flower, you and i
i, a follower, and you my seeing eye
we fit so well
yet can never tell
what kind of flower i am
maybe a buttercup? maybe a rose?
it doesn't matter, as long as you know
that for you, i write these lines
in hope that you'll find
some interest in me.
like a bee
drawn to pollen, because i'm sweet.
its just like you
to fly gracefully through
and smile as you go by
and despite being effortless
i still am happy
because your smile is beautiful in my eyes.
you, to me, are a free bird
you fly and you sing
and you're beautiful
i am a caged bird
i'm torn apart, and i have nowhere to go
i hardly say a word
each of these lines
has their own meaning
like the way the sun
is made for gleaming
and you
are my meaning
the reason i live this life
i strive to achieve what you've achieved;
strive to be who you want me to be
because its human nature, you see
to want to have someone to please.
