"Mom I... what did I look like?" I stuttered, not realizing mom had been home before I was.

"What do you mean what did you look like? You looked like you! You were just staring at your ceiling, completely unresponsive. Just, Caitlin, please don't do that to me again. I thought you were dead."

"Okay mom...sorry." I replied, finding it somewhat amusing, though I didn't know why.

"Well, what are you going to do today?"

I planned on learning how to pull things into a different dimension.

"I might invite a friend over."

"Tyler?"

No, Draven.

"No, probably Jess."

"Were you planning on asking me?"

Not really.

"Yes mom. May I have Jess over?" I asked of my third best friend, Jessica. Told you we all had nicknames for each other.

"I guess, what time?"

Was it the same time in another dimension?

I shrugged. "Maybe I won't have her over. I'm super tired today."

"That's very responsible of you. Go take a nap or something, sleep all day. We have no plans," my mom smiled at her free schedule. I nodded and stretched, pretending to be tired.

"Good idea. I'll see you around noon," I said, and mom smiled at me as I turned around and trudged down the hall, still putting up my tired act. She chuckled and I shut my door behind me.

I'm ready. I wrote on my same notebook. I never got a reply. Instead, I felt a warm front, and then I was in Draven's room.

I looked down at my hand, which was still being held by him. I blushed a little and tugged on my hand, and he quickly released me.

"Hey," he smiled, flipping his hair away from his eyes. I smiled in response. "So, you ready to learn how to come here whenever you want?" he asked eagerly.

"Yeah. And the pulley thing that you said you'd teach me how to do," I reminded him.

"That was extremely vague," he teased.

"Oh shut up, you know what I'm talking about."

"Okay, well, first you need to learn how to see your world from here, and my world from yours. You have to learn how to completely relax your eyes all the time. Think you can try it?"

"Um...I can try anything." I agreed.

"Good, now remember what I taught you when you first came here?"

"Yes," I answered, "to see nothing...but then how would I..."

"Don't question it." He cut me off quickly. I huffed and closed my eyes. I tried to put pressure on them like Draven did to relax them, but they just wouldn't. I kept my eyes closed and blushed slightly.

"Um, Draven....will you do that thing that you did before?"

"You are seriously vague. But yes, I will do that thing that I did before." He said, chuckling. I stuck my tongue out at him, and I could almost see the smirk on his face. Soon though, I felt warmth on my eyelids, and almost against my will I felt my face relax. His thumbs pulled back, and I slowly opened my eyes, and...nothing.

"I don't see anything."

"It'll take some practice," he assured. "Besides, you saw it the first time you tried yesterday, and that shows potential."
