During a Spanish class, we were studying on to be pronouns called estar.
We were having a test, and we had to translate sentences in English to Spanish using the pronouns estar. I can't remember if it was a bonus question or one of the questions from the test, but we had to translate, "The sister is sad." Someone correctly translated it, and Hanji says, "because she's single.
All of us, even our teacher who was normally serious, started laughing.
