Present.

Stefan P.O.V

Knocks on the door woke me, damn my ears, being a vampire, you can hear better than a person a million times more. Which is quite handy, but sometimes bloody annoying, for example, waking up. But as I saw Elena sleeping peacefully beside me, I felt happy and forgotten all the bad things that I had done, she's like an angel.

The knocks were repeated again downstairs, and was even louder and no one actually visit our boarding house since 1965, which is pretty bizarre for someone to come so suddenly. I went and put on a singlet to cover my body and putted on a sweatpants. To protect myself and as well as Elena, I took a knife from the kitchen and hid it behind my back. I walked to the door and was ready to open. I opened the door and saw a face that I had seen thirty years ago, a face that could light up everyone's face.

She looked the same as before, obviously, the natural makeup look with a pair of skinny jeans and a simple v necked t shirt. Her hair was wavy with a pair of sunglasses on the head that pushes back the front hair. She was holding a handbag along with a suitcase. A big smile was plastered on her face.

"Hey, lil' sis."

I came with a car which I got it from Florida, and I didn't even bought it. I was so excited to see my brothers again. It was about thirty years since I last saw them. Wonder whether they had grown up, oh wait, what was I thinking? They can never grow up, even for myself.

I took my handbag and my suitcase and went off to knock the door. I reached the door and put down my suitcase, and started to knock the door. After a few minutes, no one answer. I put my sunglasses above my head to make my front hair in place so that the wind that was blowing would not mess up my hair. I knocked again and the door opened. I saw Stefan in front of me with a knife in his hands.

"Hey, lil' sis." He said with a surprising look on his face.

"Hi, and this is how you welcome people into our house? With a knife in your hands?" I said as I raised my eyebrow and looked at the knife.

"I was just protecting myself." He said, knife still in his hands.

"I see," as I nodded. "So, do you want to put down that knife and hug your amazing sister or you just want to let me stay outside?"

He smiled, "Well, I think I'll choose the second option."

"You know that I can come in anytime I want right? After all, it's my house."

He placed the knife on the table beside him and crossed his arms across his chest. "Our house. And why didn't you do that? You just woke up my beauty sleep."

I chuckled and put my handbag on the floor. I jumped on him and hugged him, a big smile was hanging on my face which I couldn't control. He hugged me back and swung me around. After that, he put me down and sighed.

"You know, you've gained weight. Like a lot." He said in a serious tone.

"Really? " I looked at myself.

"I was just joking. " he chuckled. He took my sunglasses off my head and ruffled my hair, which cause my hair to become messy. "I missed you." He added.

"I missed you, too. " I said. Stefan took my suitcase and handed me my handbag. I walked into the house, everything was the same since the last time I came here. I breathed in the air and sighed,

"Ah, home sweet home."

I went into my room, and all my things were at its place, same like before, but somehow it wasn't dusty.
