The next day, Tory continued her journey along with Jeremy. They talked and laughed, and sometimes in dead silence. Their relationship had gotten closer than before.

After a few hours, they had finally reached their destination, Brooke's house. It looked like it was abandoned for more than four decades. Some of the roof tiles were missing, the windows were broken, the door was gone, the walls and floors that were made of woods were not stable, like it could come crashing down anytime soon.

"So, exactly when you had met this, Brooke?" Jeremy asked. He sounded like he was a little unsure about this whole 'looking-for-the-white-oak-stake-in-an-abandoned-house' kind of idea.

"Around a hundred years ago?" Tory replied."but witched have some sort of aging spell, and that time when I met her, she was close to about hundred and sixty years old. She could slow down her aging. SHe might still be inside there," she pointed towards the old house.

"There?" Jeremy scoffed, "Seriously?"

"Who knows? " Tory said and she headed towards to the porch. As she stepped onto the wooden floor, it creaked. "Guess we had to get used to the creaking sound when we're looking for that stake," And she continued walking into the house.

Inside the house, it was a total mess, broken chairs and tables, pieces of plates and cups, books and papers were scattered around, like someone had broke in. But, dust were coated everywhereso it seemed like it had happened a long time ago. Jars and bottles that looked like it had herbs in it were opened and had weird smell coming out from it. Sunlight were shining in from the missing roof tiles, and that was the only light source that helped Tory and Jeremy see where they're going.

As Tory stepped in, she smelled something, something unpleasant, but she ignored it. She stepped under the sunlight that was coming from the ceiling and slowly she felt her skin was hot, then burning, when she realized it, she quickly ran under the shades with her incredible speed. Avoiding the sunlight.

"What happened?" Jeremy asked, when he looked at the burnt wounds on Tory's face and hands.

"Looks like someone doesn't want any blood sucking vampires here," she said, her skin was healing. "My daylight ring can't work in here, all because of those stupid witchy spells," Then, as Tory took a step, the wooden floor broke and sent Tory down an underground room. But as Tory fell down, she could feel her skin burning again. Not because of the sunglight, but there were vervain flowers all around her like she had fell into a pile of it. She tried to make her way through the vervains, hoping that there might be none at the other side, but she can't. Her only way to get away from this is to climb out of the hole, but she can't, her legs were being burnt by the vervains as well, and smelling the vervains made her weak.

"Jeremy! Jeremy!" she screamed. "It's vervain! Get me out of here!"

Just then, she felt someone pulled her out from the hole. Her skin that was in contact with the vervain were all burnt.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asked, kneeling down beside her, who was lying on the floor, gasping for fresh air. Her skin was healing slowly again.

"Yeah," she said and sat up slowly as her skin was turning back to it's original state. Smooth and remarkably beautiful, just like how Tory always describes it.

"I bet that white oak stake is somewhere in there," Jeremy said, looking into that huge hole or underground room.

"Yeah, I think you should go in there and find it," Tory said while rubbing her precious skin. Jeremy jumped into the hole and was taking out the vervains that were filled up in the hole. Not just taking out, but throwing them out instead. Tory was looking down from above, watching his every moves. "And by the way Jer, watch where you're throwing that thi---" vervain was thrown right into her face and the burning starts again. Tory quickly took it off her. "Jeremy! "
